The foundation of any structure will determine the integrity of that structure. In the book of Ezra 6:3 we read, “In the first year of King Cyrus, King Cyrus issued a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem: “Let the house be rebuilt, the place where they offered sacrifices; and let the foundations of it be firmly laid, its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits.” The house of God requires a firm foundation. Ultimately, Jesus is the foundation that we are supposed to build our lives upon, but many of us find alternative foundations, and the consequences are self-evident. The term “pre-adamic” has been used to describe various ideas about the state of God’s creation prior to the creation of Adam and his role in the Garden of Eden. Some have rejected the idea outright, arguing that there is no pre-adamic history other than the five-day creation account prior to day six. Others have abused the concept of a pre-adamic race to justify racism. Still others have studied megalithic sites around the world, mysteries of earth formations, non-biblical ancient texts, and other phenomena, and concluded there must have been some kind of intelligent life interacting with earth prior to Adam, such as the Anunnaki.
