Forever Wars— Trump vs. the World! (G&R 475)

Russia invade Ukraine four years ago and has resulted in a bloody conflict that has bled both countries and scrambled global politics. Donald Trump campaigned in 2016 on a platform of ending America's "forever wars" and in 2024, he and J.D. Vance said they were the "most pro-peace" campaign in history. We now know neither of those things are true as Trump attacked the Islamic Republic with Israel sparking a quickly escalating war that will last many years. In our latest, we talk about the recent history of forever wars and how Ukraine and Iran are the latest in these never ending conflicts. -------------------------🎸 Outro- "Green and Red Blues" by Moody🔗 Links🌐 G&R: Deep Background on Ukraine and Russia (https://bit.ly/4bwEyxx)🌐 G&R: Trump’s Aggression Against Iran Continues, w/ Professor Eskandar Sadeghi (https://bit.ly/4tW5he0)🎙️ Follow Green and Red🔗 Linktree: https://linktr.ee/greenandredpodcast🌐 Website: https://greenandredpodcast.org💬 Join our Discord community: https://discord.gg/uuP6yVQr📰 Follow us on Substack: https://greenandredpodcast.substack.com🌌 Follow us on Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/podcastgreenred.bsky.social💚 Support the Green and Red Podcast🎉 Become a Patron: https://www.patreon.com/greenredpodcast☕ One-time donation: https://bit.ly/DonateGandR🌍 Our Networks🎧 Labor Podcast Network: https://www.laborradionetwork.org📢 Anti-Capitalist Podcast Network: https://linktr.ee/anticapitalistpodcastnetwork📻 Listen on WAMF (90.3 FM) New Orleans: https://wamf.org🎬 A Green and Red Podcast production👨‍🏫 Produced by Bob (@bobbuzzanco) and Scott (@sparki1969)✂️ Edited by Scott🔔 Subscribe for more analysis on U.S. politics, leftist strategy, and anti-establishment resistance.

Trump's Aggression Against Iran Continues, w/ Professor Eskandar Sadeghi (G&R 470)

Donald Trump's long-time aggression against Iran--abrogating the nuclear treaty, assassination officials, ramping up sanctions, and last June's prolonged attacks--is ramping up. So I talked to our good friend and one of the best-respected scholars of the region--Eskandar Sadeghi of the University of St. Andrews--about the current crisis . . . the ongoing brutal impact of sanctions--the inflation, shortages, damage to infrastructure; the harsh repression of the Iranian government; the regional context, especially Israel's aggression; and of course the U.S. threats to attack Iran again. For more information about Eskandar Sadeghi, see his faculty page at: https://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/international-relations/people/es404/ -------------------------------------------------🎙️ Follow Green and Red🔗 Linktree: https://linktr.ee/greenandredpodcast🌐 Website: https://greenandredpodcast.org💬 Join our Discord community: https://discord.gg/QYh9SGRd📰 Follow us on Substack: https://greenandredpodcast.substack.com🌌 Follow us on Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/podcastgreen...💚 Support the Green and Red Podcast🎉 Become a Patron: / greenredpodcast ☕ One-time donation: https://bit.ly/DonateGandR🌍 Our Networks🎧 Labor Podcast Network: https://www.laborradionetwork.org📢 Anti-Capitalist Podcast Network: https://linktr.ee/anticapitalistpodca...📻 Listen on WAMF (90.3 FM) New Orleans: https://wamf.org🎬 A Green and Red Podcast production👨‍🏫 Produced by Bob (@bobbuzzanco) and Scott (@sparki1969)✂️ Edited by Scott🔔 Subscribe for more analysis on U.S. politics, leftist strategy, and anti-establishment resistance.

The Coroner's Silence: How the State Uses Death Records to Hide Police Violence w/ Prof. Terence Keel (G&R 469)

While some cases, like George Floyd’s and Sandra Bland’s, capture national attention, most victims remain nameless, their stories untold.
