From the Back Burner to Precision and Lifestyle Thriving for Women in Healthcare w/Dr. Tamar Lawful | Holistic Pharmacy Podcast
We are getting so close to the end of the year and the end of Season 5 of the Holistic Pharmacy Podcast! I want to thank you so much for tuning in and learning how to be better practitioners and humans together. I could not do this without your support and feedback, and it truly inspires me to keep going every day even when challenges inevitably arise. With the solstice coming up, I invite you to take stock of your year and your life, and reflect on what resources you already have that you can tap into. Winter is the season for slowing down and introspection, so really allow yourself to just be. Ask yourself what you need, and what would serve you. And take care of yourself! Which leads me to the topic of today’s episode, where today’s guest passionately shares about her own journey and the powerful realization that women in healthcare need to take care of themselves just as well as they take care of their patients. Dr. Tamar Lawful, is a Doctor of Pharmacy and graduate of the University of the Sciences - Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. She is a licensed Pharmacist in California, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. As an Advanced Practice Pharmacist, she specializes in Pharmacogenomics, Nutritional Genomics and Integrative Nutrition. She combines these skills as Founder of LYFE Balance, Inc. where she takes a holistic and integrative approach to deprescribe unnecessary medications; promote food as medicine; guide healthy lifestyle changes; and highlight the importance of self-love to help women working in healthcare reclaim and maintain their health. With her signature InHer GlowTM Health Empowerment program, she utilizes nutrigenomics to guide clients' health goals and has helped women with diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and hormonal disorders lose weight, get off medications and adopt a sustainable healthy lifestyle. Her clients go from putting themselves on the back burner to the point of failing health to loving themselves first, eating healthy, eliminating brain fog, having more energy, losing weight and living their best lives! Dr. Lawful has devoted her talents to foster youth programs, youth summer camps, and philanthropic endeavors. Born in Jamaica and raised in New Jersey, she now calls California home and enjoys being a mother, playing the guitar, spa days, food, and beach life.

Get ready to deconstruct everything you’ve ever thought about the field of mental health and psychology. Today I’m honored to bring in the esteemed Holistic Physician, Restorative Coach, Podcaster, Psychiatrist Expert Witness at Welcome to Humanity - Dr. Fred Moss. Dr. Fred has been actively practicing in the mental health field internationally for over 40 years, and as a psychiatrist, has been an unwavering stand for the transformation of the prevailing, disempowering conversation that encompasses the industry globally. He is a firm believer that conversation, communication, creativity, and human connection are ultimately at the source of all healing of all conditions in all fields. Along with being a highly successful restorative/transformational coach, his signature technology, True Voice Podcasting is for people who are ready to take their lives back by speaking their authentic message into the world. TVP is designed to guide people from all walks of life, who are ready to rediscover the confidence and courage necessary to bring their full and real humanity back into all areas of their life. Dr. Fred’s conversations and talks are designed to be thought-provoking and compelling and leave audiences refreshed and revitalized, with a new sense of what it really means to be a human being. Dr. Fred Moss, MD is the foremost expert on delivering your True Voice into the world so that it can heal. Your voice matters. Your voice can heal. More About Dr. Fred Dr. Fred Moss arrived on Earth on March 1, 1958, and from that very second has been earmarked to be a healer. The family he was born into was in chaos and, in many ways, was counting on his arrival to bring health and wellness back into balance. Little Freddy had his hands full, and over the next six decades, he has made it his business to bring healing to the world around him, not only to his family and friends but to the community and world at large. What a journey it has been. Dr. Fred has had a host of life experiences, including, among other things, being a 2-time college dropout and a Northwestern University Medical School graduate (1988). Over the last four decades, Dr. Fred has been firmly entrenched in the mental health system, first as a child care worker and then as an internationally well-known psychiatrist. In addition, Dr. Fred has had leadership roles in multiple modalities, including inpatient and outpatient, homeless shelters, nursing homes, orphanages, halfway houses, drug rehabilitation centers, home visits, prisons and jails, and telepsychiatry in many regions of the USA. Dr. Fred has been committed to the notion that communication, connection, creativity, and conversation are at the heart of all healing of all conditions of all types. Without this, people simply do not heal. With it, miracles regularly occur. Voices heal. Listening heals. We humans are best when we are connected to others, and Dr. Fred’s life mission has now become to assure that all people know that who they are and what they do matters and that their voice, no matter where they are from, or where they are going, can be heard. As the founder of the Welcome to Humanity movement, and the True Voice Podcasting Mastermind and methodology, Dr. Fred now finds himself making the difference he came here to make. His years in the community, where he has been a physician to over 40,000 patients, and his storied and adventurous life traveling around the world, has now left him uniquely qualified to remind us all of what we already know. Communication is where love arises from, and speaking truth and listening authentically are the source of that love. Dr. Fred is married to his dream partner, Alexandra, and lives in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas in Northern California. He is the proud father of two beautiful children in Texas and is owned collectively by his three cats, Valentino, Despacito, and Winston.
