PharmGrad Wishlist | Pharmacy Podcast Nation
We are a group of practicing pharmacists throughout the U.S. who have organized a mutual aid movement entitled #PharmGradWishlist (Twitter: @PharmGradWish) that aims to support emerging pharmacist trainees who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color). People who identify as Black, Hispanic/Latinx, and American Indian/Alaska Native are underrepresented in the Pharmacy profession, which can perpetuate health disparities.

From ACPHS to Cara Therapeutics Terrillion | Occupation Station
Graduating from either pharmacy or law school is an admirable achievement. Graduating from both is a rare accomplishment indeed! That’s just what 1985 ACPHS grad Scott Terrillion did, despite having more than a few people advising him against it. In this episode of Occupation Station, Scott talks about why he made such an unusual move. He says his education at ACPHS prepared him to take on the new challenge of law school by teaching him about the scientific method, understanding logic and problem solving. Drawing on his experience at places like Boehringer Ingelheim and Cara Therapeutics, where he is now General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer, Scott shares advice about finding the right fit with an employer to maximize both your talents and your desire to grow. He also notes the many ways pharmacists are in prime positions to make big career moves.

Bill and Will Lockwood -- The American Society For Automation In Pharmacy (ASAP) | Pharmacy Crossroads
The American Society For Automation In Pharmacy – or ASAP – could be the pharmacy organization that most directly effects the daily practice of pharmacy. And, it is very likely that you, as a practicing pharmacist, have never heard of this important organization.
In this episode of PharmacyCrossRoads we talk with Bill Lockwood, founder and Executive Director ASAP. Joining in the program is Will Lockwood, Assistant Director of ASAP and Bill’s son. These two industry experts explain how the standard settings services ASAP provides make it possible for your pharmacy system to provide a variety of services, without which, modern day pharmacy practice would not be possible.
You’ll learn how ASAP brings industry competitors together, in a carefully coordinated and legal manner, to address issues that make it possible for Prescription Drug Monitoring programs to work, for interfaces between various pharmacy systems and services to work. And, how the organization works with the FDA, CMS and other government agencies to insure you can fill scripts quickly and accurate and that all your systems “play nice” with one another.

Pharmacogenomics Education (Part 1) | PGX For Pharmacist
Pharmacogenomics Education is critical to advancing the Pharmacist's optimal impact on medication management as a tool to ensure the drugs prescribed work as intended.
The State of the Industry -- Pharmacogenomics Education
Clinical pharmacogenomics activities may include designing patient-specific drug and dosage regimens based on genetic profile, documenting clinical recommendations, educating pharmacists and other health care professionals, and recommending testing
Advanced training in pharmacogenomics may open up more practice opportunities for pharmacists, such as developing clinical decision support tools in electronic health record systems that guide prescribers on appropriate drug therapy regimens based on genetic profiles. Additionally, pharmacists can develop institutional guidelines and processes for implementing clinical pharmacogenomics services into various practice settings.
Pharmacists can also develop patient education materials to explain the significance of the tests and serve as expert consultants in a pharmacogenomics service.
