When the disciples cried out for comfort in the storm, Jesus was there. I have heard many preachers say that Jesus will comfort us when we cry out to him and others say that we won't get that comfort until heaven. Unfortunately I am going through a divorce process that I desperately do not want. My prayers have not been answered. One prayer I pray every day is that I want to feel the comfort of Christ and honestly I have never felt that. What is the biblical idea behind this? Is he there? Is he not always there, may he never be there for me? 3. I feel called to preach but I already have a family and don't make much money, so I won't be able to take theology courses. In Leviticus 5 it says that anyone who touches a leper becomes unclean. But in Matthew 8 Jesus touches a leper and isn't considered unclean. Why is that? One of his friends is reaching out to him and trying to talk to him about the World Missions Society Religion and is persuading him about this new religion about "God the mother." I was doing bible study with my son and he invited his friend to join us and he continued to undermine me and what I was saying about God and the Bible. What passages can I share with my son? 2. What does it mean when Jesus calls us to abide in him? What does this look like in regards to being in the Word and in prayer? 3. I have an apologetic question for you: Surely you've encountered folks who say that it's foolish to believe the Bible. One of the big arguments they make is that the Bible, being thousands of years old, was written for people thousands of years ago. Applying it to the 21st century is putting it out of context and that some of it simply isn't relevant anymore. How do you respond to these people? 4. Is God pleased by the good-deeds of non-believers? 5. My church has made the policy that a couple living together cannot get married in the church until they live apart first. My friend believes Jesus would be welcoming and allow people to get married even if they are living together. What do you think? I don't understand how Catholics can call themselves Christians if they put their faith in her. Can you explain that? 5. Could you please explain Jesus's statement, "I never knew you," in the parable of the Ten Virgins in Matthew 7?
