You’ve all seen them on social media. So, after a quick recap of a second straight win for Jurgen Klopp’s side, the Liverpool.com podcasts gets stuck into their five favourite Liverpool conspiracies. Analysing Anfield: Q&A Special Part 1 | Mbappe and Haaland, FSG investment, and how Liverpool can succeed Firmino
With a 19-day break between Liverpool matches underway, the Analysing Anfield podcast dedicates the first of two special shows to listener questions covering a wide range of topics. Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and transfers get a mention, as does the wider FSG strategy and approach heading into the summer, where Liverpool might need to attract players without the allure of Champions League football. There is also a discussion of the evolution of the Reds’ front three and whether Curtis Jones could be a left-field option to succeed Roberto Firmino. Josh Williams and David Hughes provide the answers to as many questions before promising to return with more on next week’s show. Poetry in Motion: Fabinho, Liverpool’s most important | Misfiring Mane | And get off Thiago’s back
Neil Fitzmaurice is joined by the Liverpool ECHO’s Paul Gorst and Joe Rimmer for his latest Poetry in Motion podcast. After a tribute to Ian St John, and a brilliant story involving Bill Shankly, Fitzy talks Fabinho, who Gorsty calls Liverpool’s most important player, and Diogo Jota, whose winner at his former club Wolves on Monday got the defending champions back on track in the Premier League. But while Jota has hit the ground running following his return from injury, what’s going on with Sadio Mane in front of goal? The panel discuss that, ask if Thiago Alcantara takes too much stick, and wonder whether Nat Phillips and Ozan Kabak could become unlikely Anfield heroes in the vein of some of those players that won No 5 in Istanbul in 2005. Blood Red: Diogo Jota, the difference maker Liverpool needed earlier in top-four fight
The 1-0 win at Wolves on Monday was the type of game Liverpool won regularly on the way to the Premier League title last season. And the latest Blood Red podcast, hosted by Matt Addison and featuring Ian Doyle and Sean Bradbury, wonders whether that would have been the case this season too had Jota not spent a large part of it on the sidelines. But the Portuguese is back now and his winner against his former club Wolves has revived Liverpool’s hopes of finishing in the Champions League places. Can the Reds do it? And is the 19-day break until their next match going to help or hinder their chances? The panel talk that before focusing on the burgeoning centre-back partnership between Nat Phillips and Ozan Kabak, discussing a Ben Davies theory, looking at Thiago’s performances, and then giving some end-of-season predictions. Post-Game: Wolves 0-1 Liverpool | Diogo Jota the hero as Reds prove they’re still in hunt for European qualification
Diogo Jota returned to his former club Wolves to grab his first goal for Liverpool since his injury lay-off and help them to get back to winning ways in the Premier League. The strike, on the stroke of half-time, was the Portuguese's 10th of the campaign as Liverpool saw out the slender advantage. Worryingly, Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio was forced off on a stretcher after a late clash with Conor Coady. Join Guy Clarke for reaction to the win at Molineux as we hear from the ECHO's Liverpool correspondent Paul Gorst, Jurgen Klopp's post-match press conference, as well as regular contributors Hannah Pinnock, Mike Holt, Mark Baker and Ross Strachan. Behind Enemy Lines: Diogo Jota's successor the whole of Europe will chase | Wolves star who has been as big a loss as Virgil van Dijk
Liverpool travel to Wolves off the back of a morale-boosting Champions League victory midweek - needing to translate that form into the Premier League. Matt Addison speaks to Birmingham Live's Wolves reporter Alex Dicken to get the lowdown from Molineux ahead of the clash between the sides. Diogo Jota is going back to his former club for the first time, with Pedro Neto the man who has stepped up to replace him. Raul Jiminez has been missing through injury, contributing to Wolves' poor performances in the league under Nuno Espirito Santo - and Alex says he has been as big a loss as any of the Reds stars who are out. Adama Traore was linked with a £100m move to some of Europe's top clubs, including Liverpool, last summer, but has only managed one assist and no goals in the league this season - though that does not tell the whole story. The Agenda: Liverpool’s next No.9 | Erling Haaland and Paulo Dybala linked
As the summer transfer window gets closer, Liverpool have been linked with two high profile forwards in Erling Haaland and Paulo Dybala. Matt Addison joins Guy Clarke for the latest episode of The Agenda to discuss the links with the Borussia Dortmund and Juventus forwards. Is a centre forward top of Jurgen Klopp’s summer shopping list? How much would either Haaland or Dybala cost? And how important would Champions League football be in signing either of them? The Liverpool.com Podcast: Is Mohamed Salah underappreciated? | And the move Jurgen Klopp cannot make
Join Dan Morgan, Ollie Connolly and Mark Wakefield as they talk Fabinho, Liverpool’s captaincy and Mohamed Salah. Jurgen Klopp moved Fabinho forward into his favoured No 6 role in the Champions League win over RB Leipzig. It was a decision that certainly paid off but can the Reds boss afford to no longer consider the Brazilian as a centre-back option? The panel discuss that, and the performances of Ozan Kabak and Dayot Upamecano, before talk turns to why Mohamed Salah was not made captain for the second-leg victory given Jordan Henderson, Virgil van Dijk and James Milner were all unavailable. Salah actually dominates the second half of the podcast with Dan, Ollie and Mark also questioning whether the Egyptian King truly gets the plaudits he deserves for his incredible goalscoring exploits from the wing.Watch and subscribe to our Blood Red videos on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/BloodRedLiverpoolFCJoin our Blood Red podcast group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1656599847979758/ Learn more about your ad choices.
