The use of income and employment data in lending has become much more widespread in recent years. For any fintech-enabled lender, access to this data instantly via API is critical to their ability to provide a seamless borrower experience. This is where trade associations engage with regulators on substantive issues and get their voices heard. Six years ago fintech had no real trade association at all. Today, we have a vibrant trade association that is lobbying on our behalf to help drive the industry forward.
