Some positives and negatives from the Warriors first win of the season vs the Bulls
Marcus, Tim, Ethan and Anthony give their thoughts of the Warriors first win of the season vs the Bulls and what they take away from the first 3 games. D Lee with the game winning 3 got the team very fired up to get that win. Kelly Oubre continues to struggle shooting, but is giving a lot of effort out on the floor. The bench rotation seems to be setting up nicely, but some guys aren't getting a ton of minutes. Steph is struggling from outside, but the guys don't think there is anything to be worried about. What do the W's need to do to improve on the defensive end? James Wiseman had an off game vs the Bulls and look a little tired. What is the plan at center with Criss being out for the season? And what do the guys think about Draymond needing more days off for his conditioning and debut this season? All-82- Nets dominate the new look Warriors on Opening Night
Warriors All 82 returns for another season of W's hoops and Anthony, Tim and Ethan break down the Nets dominating 125-99 win in the NBA Season Opener. The Nets came out on fire in the first and the Warriors defense had no chance to slow them down. They had chances to cut into the lead, but Wiggins and Paschall struggled. Steph struggled as well, but he looked like his old self out there on the court. The 1 big bright spot was the play of #2 overall pick James Wiseman. He played 24 mins in his first NBA game and finished with 19 pts and 6 rebounds. He made some rookie mistakes, but was very impressive for his first real game in almost a year when he was at Memphis. Steve Kerr said after the game that his rotations weren't set and he will reward players who are playing better. So the guys debate who should be getting more minutes and what will be the plan when Draymond is back in the lineup. Warriors Opener is tomorrow night and there are a lot of questions to answer
Anthony, Tim, Ethan & Marcus talk about some of the big questions the Warriors have to answer with the season opener tomorrow night vs the Nets. Lots of hype coming into the season on James Wiseman, is it too much too soon or does he deserve the early love? Could Wiseman win the Rookie of the Year? The guys talk about what they expect from Looney, Paschall and Criss this season. Can Draymond get back to his old self on the defensive side? What seed will the Warriors be in the West and can they win a series in the playoffs? And they discuss what other players on the bench that could surprise and give the team an energy boost. What to take away from the Warriors 1st game in 277 days
Marcus, Anthony, Tim and Ethan break down what they saw from the Warriors win on Saturday night vs the Nuggets. It was the W's first game played in 277 days. It was a strange atmosphere at Chase Center for preseason game #1. They talk about what they saw from some of the new Warriors and some of the bench guys who are fighting for playing time and roster spots. Wanamaker and Oubre really impressed the guys with their play on both sides of the ball. The energy and effort just seemed different then it did last year. The defense looked much improved in the first game and hopefully that will get even better when Draymond and Wiseman can get back on the floor. Lack of shooting could be an issue this season, so they might have to make a move to get more. And they give their thoughts on Wiggins first game playing alongside Steph and what they think he can do this season. With the Draft over, what's next for the Warriors?
Marcus, Anthony, Tim & Ethan discuss what they think the Warriors plans will be in free agency and trades after drafting Wiseman, trading for Oubre and making a few small signings so far. The trade for D'Angelo Russell actually really helped out the Warriors this offseason. Is there still any hope for a trade for Giannis? What to make of the roster right now after the draft, the trade for Oubre and a few signings? They discuss if the W's should have been more active in free agency then just signing Bazemore and Brad Wanamaker so far. Do they still need a big man? They talk about what to expect from second round pick Nico Mannion and how he had an interesting college career after coming in very highly regarded. How do the Warriors fit in with the rest of the West and were would you rank them going in with the current roster? They talk about what they expect from a rested Draymond. And Ethan shows his love for Alen Smailagic and how he thinks he is better then people think. Emergency Pod: Post Draft Night- Klay's injury, W's draft Wiseman at #2 & what do they do next
Marcus, Tim, Ethan and Anthony have a lot to talk about after the Draft with the Warriors drafting James Wiseman with the #2 overall pick and the news about Klay Thompson possibly having a serious leg injury. News came in a few hours before the draft about Klay injuring his right leg, severity is not known as of time of recording, but rumors are saying it could be an achilles. What's the plan for the W's if Klay is done for the season? Was drafting Wiseman the right choice if they knew that Klay was gonna miss a lot of time? Would Ball or a trade have been a better choice for the team with no Klay? James Wiseman did make a good impression on the guys and the W's the past few weeks and tonight after he was drafted. And they talk about if Klay is out for the season, does it change the Warriors plans for the this season and the outlook for the season...
