Samuel Cooper: Revolutionary War Sermon
During the American Revolution preachers played a vital role in shaping the future country. Samuel Cooper had a church in Boston, at the very heart of the Revolution, that had notable figures such as John Hancock and future presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams. He was also a friend of Benjamin Franklin's and was asked to edit the Paris peace treaty by George Washington. In this sermon, On The Commencement Of The Constitution, Cooper preaches a sermon to the founders who would eventually write the constitution of the United States. In 1780, during the middle of the Revolution, he cast a vision of what the United States could be. And he described what would be needed to have a nation that aligned itself with God in all things.

B.B. Warfield: The Example Of The Incarnation
BB Warfield (Benjamin Breckinridge Warfield) was a seminary professor at Princeton during the late 1800’s. He became famous for his firm position on Biblical inerrancy and the idea that the Bible is absolutely true. He once said, “The Bible is the Word of God in that when the Bible speaks, God is speaking.”In this sermon, The Example of the Incarnation, Warfield explains that God left us a blueprint for life’s troubles. That in the person of Christ and how He lived on Earth, we can find how we are supposed to live with our view toward Heaven.Follow us for more content throughout the week!

Revived Thoughts Introduction
It wasn’t that long ago when people read sermons. Pastors and preachers would have their sermons written down and sent out for everyone to read. It was similar to how we read blogs today. But this all stopped when audio was invented.
After people started to listen to sermons on the radio, they stopped reading them. Sermons should be heard. The old sermons that were written down were forgotten. For over a hundred years countless great sermons haven’t been heard by anyone. And we limit ourselves by choosing only to listen to sermons from today.
This is all changing! Our goal is to bring these sermons back to life. Many great theologians were preachers, missionaries, and professors. We read their books today. But what did they tell their congregations? What was their week to week advice on how to live? The way to live out their theology is found in their sermons.
