Eamon Dunphy joined Ian on Gift Grub this morning for another World Cup update. Things have been quiet for Eamon during the tournament, and he's appealing to other broadcasters to adopt a Dunphy this Christmas. Adopt a Dunphy, and you'll get a complimentary John Giles thrown in!

On Gift Grub this morning, we heard from a few famous faces who hadn’t many good things to say. Daniel O'Donnell, Francis Brennan, and Christy Moore dropped by to tell us how annoyed they were that Mario Rosenstock would be making another appearance on the Late Late Show tonight.

On Gift Grub this morning, we checked in with Radio Roy in Qatar. Media crews had some down time yesterday as there were no scheduled matches. But, ITV and BBC crews decided to go head-to-head in a friendly match, and Roy Keane scored the winning goal for ITV. He celebrated his goal by dancing. Earlier in the week, Roy slated the Brazilian team dancing, and had to issue an apology to them on Radio Roy this morning.

Pauline McLynn joined Ian on the show this morning to talk about her new role, and to reminisce about Father Ted. Pauline and Ardal O’Hanlon reunite after 25 years for Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything. They play the Irish parents of a Manchester girl determined to clean up her act in new TV series. On Gift Grub this morning, we joined the Fianna Fáil Christmas party in Leinster House. Things were sounding a little tame, until Fine Gael crashed the party...Paschal Donohoe and Leo Varadkar seemed to bring it back to life.

On Gift Grub this morning, Matt Cooper was joined by Frank Greaney for a special court report. Frank told Matt about a case of multiple serious offences. The perpetrator goes by the name 'Elf on The Shelf'.

A four-day working week trial in Ireland has been deemed a success by both the employers and employees taking part. Michael D. Higgin’s joined Ian on Gift Grub this morning and thinks it’s a wonderful idea. Michael O'Leary, CEO of Ryanair, quipped in to show his dismay.

On Gift Grub this morning, James Corden joined Ian to gloat about England's win in their latest World Cup game. According to James, 'It's Coming Home'... Steven Gerrard on the other hand is still sitting at the edge of his seat.

Leo Varadkar joined Ian on this mornings Gift Grub and told us how it's only 15 days until he becomes Taoiseach - not like he's counting or anything!! President Michael D. Higgins and Paschal Donohoe phoned in to give their two cents.

On Gift Grub this morning, Ian spoke to Ronan Keating across the pond while he was doing his own breakfast show on Magic Radio. While Ronan was on, he had a favour to ask Ian. He wants him to put in a good word with Westlife..
