Last week, musical legend Rod Stewart called into Sky News to give out about the waiting lists, the health system and the NHS. He also, very generously, offered to pay for people’s scans too. This has led to a number of Irish musicians jumping on the bandwagon and calling into live radio news programmes including the News at One on RTE.

Our favourite boyband, The Fear Of Gods, better known as The FOGS, are back. To celebrate the return of the Six Nations, Paul O'Connell, Ronan O'Gara and Alan 'Quinny' Quinlan have returned to the studio and they've recruited a new member for their latest single.

In our latest trip to primary schools across the country, Shauna from the Breakfast Show team headed off to meet the students from 2nd, 3rd and 4th class in the Presentation Primary School in Thurles. She spoke to Ni-kola, Faye, Brianna, Lily, Roisin, Amy, Mill, Ava, Eyelish, Aoife, Eva, Julietta, Alannah, Julia, Lena, Sarah, Ava, Adel, Mollie, Poppy, Amy, Lolita, Shauna, Nancy and Sireen. There was an article in the paper earlier in the week about the everyday worries that people have, things like a springing a leak in the roof, being late for work and someone cutting in front of you in traffic. So, Shauna asked the children what they think adults worry about and what the toughest thing about being an adult is. For those of you who feel your hard work and stress goes unnoticed, it does not… And then there’s a certain story that the children of Ireland will have been following very closely over the past week or so and that is the news that our president, Michael D Higgins, has called for a ban on homework. So, Shauna asked the guys what they thought of that and you might be able to guess how they felt about it…. Thanks to Ms Ryan, who organised the visit, Ms Bohan, Ms Fanning, the principal Mr Healy and secretary Rosaleen.

What a huge week for the 'The Banshees Of Inisherin'. The movie has received accolades, praise, nominations and international recognition. But, most importantly, the Gift Grub crew have created a beautiful tribute to the film...

What a week for the Mescal family! Kildare man, Paul Mescal, the star of Normal People, was nominated for an Oscar for his role in Aftersun. His very excited Mam, Dearbhla, joined Ian on the line this morning to tell him about the hooley that they had to celebrate.

Well, it has certainly been a controversial week for the GAA. Kilmacud Crokes and Glen went head to head in Sunday's All Ireland Club Final and Kilmacud won 1-11 to 1-9 but video shows the Dublin club had 16 players at the finish and Glen have decided to appeal the result of the contentious match. Everyone has an opinion on it and no one can seem to agree on what is right. This calls for one thing - Gift Grub's Liveline!
