Vol 30 Presents The Green's Ladies Club, Inc
The Green’s Ladies Club, Inc. was organized May 1, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA by Lorraine Sawyer. Mrs. Sawyer envisioned that Black women could partake of the experiences on the golf links. On May 1, 1954, she convened with seven other women at 160 N. Sandford Street Philadelphia, PA, where they laid the foundation of the Green’s Ladies Golf Club. The first tournament hosted by the Green’s Ladies was held in 1955. Following that successful tournament, GLGC became members of the Eastern Golf Association and the United Golf Association. This is the premier golf organization for women who are seeking to develop their golf game, connect with other women who are interested in the game of golf, and wish to participate competitively in local, state, and national tournaments.

Vol 27 Presents Mac Thayer, Founder of The Junior Golf Scoreboard
We started the Junior Golf Scoreboard in May of 1998 right after my son finished his junior career and was headed off to college. It literally began in a storage room that we sublet from a company. With our one phone we called every tournament we could find and began building a database of events for people to find on our website.
As a former junior golf Dad I knew that parents were struggling to learn more about the sport and how to enter tournaments. College coaches had no way to follow the sport nationally and there was very little information about playing the sport or how college recruiting worked. So we began building the Scoreboard with content that we hope would be useful.
My passions include family time with Porter, Christopher and Alison, working as an adult volunteer in youth Ministry, playing golf, and working on issues surrounding conservation and the challenges of climate change.

Vol 25 Presents Kenji Stiles, Father of golf phenom Kris Stiles
From the time he was 13, Kris Stiles is one of the top young golfers in the country and has been drawing comparisons to Tiger Woods from an early age. Most kids would only dream of being referred to as the next Tiger, but Kris doesn't see it that way. He wants to blaze his own path. Kris' story goes much deeper than just golf, as financial troubles have hindered his ability to compete at the highest level. Watch the feature above, as Bleacher Report takes you inside a father and son's relationship, the pursuit of being elite and the power of kindness.
