The Department of Homeland Security put out a series of posts, one showing screenshots of two emails cancelling reservations of known ICE agents.  Even though Hilton quickly distanced itself from the hotel chain in question and apologized along with the hotel’s management company,  Hilton stock fell 2.5% on Monday.  DHS used incendiary language in its posts, saying Hilton was siding with rapists and murderers and conservative pundits quickly took advantage of the situation on social media calling for a boycott of Hilton hotels and spreading misinformation.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It’s now officially 2026, and there are still no arrests in the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, the teenager found dismembered and decomposing in the Tesla owned by singer D4VD back in early August. Despite a few unsubstantiated reports from “police sources” in tabloids, investigators have been radio silent since November when they finally acknowledged the singer was in a romantic relationship with Rivas-Hernandez and is officially a suspect in her death. Ousted President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores made their first court appearance in Manhattan this morning to face narco-terrorism, drug and weapons charges.  They two pleaded not guilty, but they managed to get in a few more words than that.  While this fascinating scene was unfolding inside the courtroom, two separate factions of demonstrators surrounded the courthouse, some thanking President Trump and some wanting Maduro set free. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The children of former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman are pleading with President Trump to remove a video he reposted on social media alleging Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is behind their mother and father’s assassinations. Police are asking for the public’s help in trying to solve a double homicide in Columbus, Ohio.   37 year old Dr. Spencer Tepe and his wife, 39 year old Monique Tepe were both found shot to death on December 30th after Tepe failed to show up for work.  Police found their two toddlers unharmed in the home, with no signs of forced entry and no weapon left behind.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
