Many of us believe the Bible, but if we were pressed to explain WHY we believe the Bible, things would get awkward quickly. We can easily go through life not really convinced that the Bible is trustworthy, but just hoping that it is. Prayer is not about getting better at prayer, it is about getting closer to God. So many Christians find praying hard due to distraction, busyness, or being at a loss for words. We make it so much harder than it needs to be. Ephesisans 6:18 shows us that to talk with God, we should pray everywhere, for everything, and everyone. When was the last time you felt connected to God through prayer? Are you satisfied by your prayer life? Pride is a sneaky sin. It sneaks into our lives and faith in a way that other sins don't and it sets us up against everyone else. We, as Christians, need to learn to let go of pride and realize that we are a small part of a much bigger narrative. If we focus on ourselves, we open up the doorway to all the places in life we don't want to end up.
