Is it time to rethink hotel quarantine? It’s been just short of a year since anyone who arrived in Australia from overseas has had to undergo two weeks of mandatory quarantine in a specific hotel, only to be released after two negative COVID test results. The process is coming under review, while today there's more news of hotel quarantine workers testing positive, and a person in NSW who tested positive for the virus, two days after finishing hotel quarantine. Plus, Hilaria Baldwin is back in the headlines after she was exposed as...not being a Spanish person, earlier in the year. At first, Hilaria basically said… 'I’m sorry you got confused and assumed I was born in Spain.' But now, a month later, she’s come out with an apology on Instagram. Did she owe us the apology and...is it problematic to pretend to be Spanish? And, when Gladys Berejiklian joined Mia on No Filter this week, she revealed her life has ended up in a very different place than she imagined when she was twenty. What assumptions do we make about powerful women, and what is the difference between child free by choice, and childless by circumstance? There’s a name you might have been hearing a lot this week. Craig Kelly. He's a federal Liberal Party MP whose areas of special interest are vaccine skepticism and climate-change denial. Plus, there’s been a turn in the #metoo stories we’re hearing in 2021 and it’s unveiling some horrifying stories about famous men. This week, there’s a new one. Marilyn Manson. And, can you imagine having slept through the entire pandemic? One 19-year-old in the UK has done just that, after emerging from an 11-month coma. Now his family has to try and explain the Coronavirus to him, even though he himself has recovered from it...twice. Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles are dating and it's another case of the internet having lots of opinions about two famous people getting together. Olivia is being hammered for dating a younger man and we think she's receiving a special brand of hatred reserved only for single mothers.  Plus, an article was recently published in the Sydney Morning Herald by Madonna King, titled: “My friend, she’s really skinny, I need to lose weight”. The teenage angst swamping 10 year old girls. King’s new book ‘Ten-Ager’ has just been released and is all about what our daughters need to know about the transition from child to teen. But it's not only interesting if you're a mother, but it's also interesting for anyone who was once a 10 year old, and it's got us thinking about how the fears of young girls are amplified for a generation who were born in the age of iPhones and Instagram.
