Texas passes their Heartbeat Bill which bans abortion when there is a detectable heartbeat, at six weeks. Amazingly, the Supreme Court just ruled 5-4 to allow the law to stand. The first bill of its kind, Texas’ Heartbeat Bill is saving lives, even while the state is not enforcing this law at all, providing a possible blueprint for other states to challenge Roe. Predictably, the Left is renting their garments, and screaming for our heads. But we’d be fools to only laugh at their hysteria, for their response carries an important lesson for the Church and the pro-life movement.
