392: Being in a Loving Relationship with G-d & with Money with Entrepreneur and Fashion Icon, Joyce Azria (Encore)

B”H Join Yael’s weekly Ladies’ Developing Trust class at yaeltrusch.com/bitachon Get Yael’s 5 Strategies for Business & Financial Fulfillment at yaeltrusch.com/strategies The lovely Joyce Azria, daughter of fashion mogul Max Azria of BCBG fame is with us today. Fashion Icon, Entrepreneur, Joyce Azria really gets what our relationship with money is like, and what it’s all about. She’s seen and lived with a ton of wealth and also with a ton of fear of losing it, because, well… she’s also known what it’s like to not be able to make payroll, or not pay rent on time, loose a lot of money, make a lot, fail at businesses and win. As the oldest child of Mr. Max Azria, plus the only one of his children who ever worked inside his fashion empire for an extended period of time, Joyce was privy to experiences with money that most young children and teens do not have. What was the result in terms of her money story? What were the parts of that story that she decided to re-write later in adulthood, and which did she decide to keep? The role of bitachon in our business and financial life. Why is looking at our relationship with money so vital to our personal growth and success? This and much more with the lovely and beautiful Joyce Azria. 391: Minisode — Thinking of Retirement Savings in Buckets

B”H If you want to apply to Yael’s Momentum Membership for women, click HERE To listen to the full episode 305 on Retirement with Emily Guy Birken, click HERE. Today I’m going to share an insight on the topic of retirement.  I know it’s a dreaded topic and last week I shared a few insights about it. Today we’re going to get a bit more tactical and I’ll share something you may have heard me talk about before with regards to how to do your money allocations. In other words, which bucket do I want this money to go to? Well, that will depend on the time frame in which I’m looking to have access to that money. And of course, the type of account that you would use for the money in a given bucket might be different than other money in another bucket, because of the timeframe in which you need that money and consequently, the amount of risk that you’re willing to take based on the time frame. Well, today we’re going to introduce the idea that you can think in the same way about allocating your money during retirement. Hopefully, similar to last week’s minisode, today’s will help you gain a positive perception of retirement and calm some of the fear and overwhelm that tends to happen around this topic. Take a listen. The post 391: Minisode — Thinking of Retirement Savings in Buckets appeared first on Yael Trusch.

390: The Power of Maaser & Chomesh with Joel Rosenstein

B”H Download the ez-maaser app from your app store or by going to ez-maaser.com/get Sign up to The Art of Jewish Giving at yaeltrusch.com/giving We’ve all been in financial difficulties, at times. My guest is no exception and he’s always come out better on the other side. To what does he credit his financial successes and turnarounds? Exclusively to maaser and to chomesh. That is giving 10% or 20% of your net income. Joel is a high tech entrepreneur and executive, living in Israel for over thirty years. He takes us through his first initial encounter with the concept of maaser, what got him to try it out, and what got him to stay committed to it for life? When did he level up to chomesh and why? I knew Joel was very passionate about chomesh – which is not a topic people speak about often – and that had a lot to share. And boy was I right. But, little did I know that we’d also come out of this episode with an awesome chomesh and maaser tracking tool. Joel took his extensive experience in tech combined with his experience carefully upholding the halachos of maaser and chomesh and provided the Jewish world with a wonderful gift: the ez- maaser app. Joel and I not only discuss his journey, but also talk about the importance of having a Rav that you consult with. Oh and wait till you hear his full answer on what to do when we’re racking up debt because we’re experiencing an income challenge. Joel shared beautiful stories and I have no doubt that you’ll really get the power of maaser and chomesh, and will be inspired to up your “giving game”. Here’s Joel Rosenstein. B”H If you want to apply to Yael’s Momentum Membership for women, click HERE  To listen to the full Episode 305 on Retirement with Emily Guy Birken, click HERE. Today we start the week on Jewish Money Matters with a minisode on a topic that not too many like to talk about – retirement. But we’re not getting into the weeds of retirement. In fact if you want to get into the weeds, I suggest you tune into Episode 305 with Emily Guy Birken. We did an entire episode just on retirement, tackling the audience’s questions on the topic. Today we’re zooming out for a few minutes and reframing the concept of retirement, something we probably should do before we even start talking about retirement – which for some is such an anxiety laden topic. We first need to make sure we’re very clear on he Jewish perspective on work and making a livelihood as this is going to inform how we view and approach retirement. It’s the starting point of a reframe on retirement. Take a listen. The post 389: Minisode — Reframing Retirement appeared first on Yael Trusch.

387: Difference between working with a secular business or money coach and one with Torah values

B”H If you want to apply to Yael’s Momentum Membership for women, click HERE. To get on the waitlist for G-d Wants You To Be Rich click HERE. You’re listening to Jewish Money Matters, I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Today’s minisode is short but it packs a punch. This is a very very short sliver of an extremely powerful conversation I had with copywriter and business coach, Naomi Rubner. Naomi was a Guest Expert inside my G-d Wants You To Be Rich Program and inside my Momentum Membership earlier this year and this conversation was one of the highlights of our sessions. Inside the Membership we’ve gone back to this conversation over and over again, reviewing the lessons learned and applying them. I grabbed a piece of the conversation that is not often spoken about and I think needs to be addressed more: The difference between working with a secular coach and one who’s worked is informed by Torah values. Enjoy! The post 387: Difference between working with a secular business or money coach and one with Torah values appeared first on Yael Trusch.

386: Dealing with Financial Anxiety Part 2 with Rus Devorah Wallen, LCSW, ACSW, CIMHP

B”H Today is Part 2 of Dealing with Financial Anxiety with therapist and social worker, Rus Devorah Wallen. Today we explore what happens after we’ve created the space between stimulus and response. What are we going to do? Rus Devorah teaches us about what she calls “Replace It.” In the conversation, she reiterates the importance of the work of meditation and breathwork, so that we calm the mind and prevent it from spiraling out of control when things are not going “our way.” And the conversation then takes us beyond that, into replacing the negative thoughts, the proper use of affirmations, taking positive action and the boundaries that need to be created to support those actions. Rus Devorah Wallen is the Founder of Toratherapeutics®, social worker, psychotherapist, and certified integrative mental health professional.
