Colleagues of 28 year old Samantha Eastwood were concerned when she failed to turn up for her night shift at the hospital in Stoke on Trent. When she had left them at 07:45 that morning she had been her normal self and this was quite out of character. Last week, we looked at the murder of 26 year old Jong-Ok Shin, who was walking home from a Bournemouth nightclub and just metres from the door of her home when she was attacked and she tragically died from her injuries. There were no witnesses to this crime.Shortly afterwards, local drug addict Omar Benguit was arrested and convicted of murder and over 20 years later he is still in prison. But was he guilty of this dreadful crime? He says no and many believe his conviction to be unsafe.
