Next-Gen Takeover: Discovering God’s Voice & Calling

Tune into this special next-gen season finale episode about God's calling, limiting beliefs, hearing God’s voice, and even some fun slang terms. So Good Moments: Colossians 3:17 says that whatsoever you do, do it for God’s glory. While it’s easy to spend a lot of energy on that one little thing, we need to think more about the “whatsoever” part. God may assign you to certain things for a season. You might not like all the assignments you’ve been given, but if you’re faithful in those little things, God won’t let you miss out on your calling. While your calling is personal, it’s also a collective call. You’re not intended to live out your calling as an individual, but as a collective. God uses His Word, His people, and His Spirit to speak into your life. Know the difference between success and fruitfulness. We have a speaking God who wants to direct your path. Discussion Questions: What jumped out to you about today’s podcast with Pastor Julie and the three next-gen leaders? Pastor Julie talked about the difference between your calling and your assignment. What assignment has God given you in this season? What is something that you wish was spoken over you when you were younger? What is your collective calling? The Sky is The Limit: Developing a Faith-Filled Mindset

Do you ever get trapped in a negative headspace? In this episode, some of our campus pastors share ways to embrace God’s promises and a faith-filled mindset. So Good Moments: When we try too hard to be accepted, loved, heard, and seen, it’s easy to fall into the trap of comparison. We might be tempted to project a fake version of ourselves, but this is dangerous because even if others accept that version of us, they don’t know the real us and, therefore can’t love our true selves. Our identity in Christ is contrary to what culture wants women to have. Embrace being a servant of God who pours your life out to Him. Strive to serve God in your home, job, and with the people in your life. To have a faith-filled mindset, Pastor Erin does two things intentionally and proactively: 1) She declares Scripture over her life, situation, and family.  2) Having daily declarations helps her renew her mind so that she thinks like Christ. There’s power in our words, which is why choosing daily declarations to speak life gives you a more faith-filled mindset. To have a faith-filled mindset, Pastor Amy puts Spiritual disciplines into practice—reading the Bible, praying, listening to worship music, going to church, and being in community with other believers. We must intentionally do this every day so that our days are focused on God instead of our to-do list.Trust what you know instead of what you feel. Trust that God has put you where you are for a purpose. Do the Word of God every single day, and He will bless you. Discussion Questions: What stands out most from this podcast’s panel discussion? You might be an approval addict if: You’re afraid to be honestYou hate disappointing othersYou put too much weight on criticism or even praiseWhich one are you, if any? 3.
