Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has had a huge rise within the film industry over the past few years. After starring in "The Greatest Showman," "Aquaman," "Us" and then winning an Emmy earlier this year for his work on "Watchmen," he now finds himself in the crucial role of Bobby Seale in Aaron Sorkin's Oscar contender, "The Trial Of The Chicago 7." Kornél Mundruczó gained international recognition with his films playing at the Cannes International Film Festival, most notably 2014's "White God." Now, in his first English language feature, he's working with acclaimed actors such as Vanessa Kirby and Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn for his latest, "Pieces Of A Woman." "Herself" premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim for Clare Dunn's lead performance and her screenplay. However, there have been other notable elements which have flown under the radar since its premiere, including the direction by Phyllida Lloyd and the performances from the rest of the ensemble. You probably know cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle for his Oscar winning work with director Danny Boyle on "Slumdog Millionaire," or their other collaborations on "28 Days Later" & "127 Hours." He has also worked with Lars Von Trier, Ron Howard, Angelina Jolie and his latest collaboration has been with Marjane Satrapi, on her biopic of Marie Curie (played by Rosamund Pike) titled "Radioactive." Taking his unique visual style to a period setting, Mantle deploys colorful and bold choices to the film's look, resulting in one of the most gorgeous looking movies of the year.
