Interview With "Greyhound" VFX Supervisors, Nathan McGuiness & Pete Bebb

"Greyhound" may have come out earlier this year but it has been able to stand out amongst a crowded Oscar season for having some of the bigger production values seen in any movie this year. Its visual effects work is the kind of large blockbuster filmmaking that audiences are sorely missing in their lives right now and with tomorrow's visual effects shortlist to be announced by the Academy, we have a feeling the work from Apple's WWII submarine movie starring Tom Hanks, will make the cut. VFX supervisors Nathan McGuiness and Pete Bebb were kind enough to spend some time talking about their experience of making the film. Please check out the full episode on our Patreon Page by subscribing over at - https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPictureAs we begin a new year, there may not be any sign of an actual date for the Tony Awards or a timeframe for the return of live theater, but with a new administration and the continued rollout of the vaccine, it feels like a new world anyway. A Behind The Scenes Look At "Mank"

"Mank" is one of 2020's most technically dazzling films. David Fincher's perfectionism transported us back to the Golden Age of Hollywood to tell us the story of Academy Award winning screenwriter Herman Mankiewicz (played by Gary Oldman) and the film has been hailed as one of the year's best, most recently being rewarded as one of the Top 10 films of the year by the American Film Institute (AFI). Many members from the film's production were kind enough to give us a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the film including Academy Award-nominated sound designer Ren Klyce, Costume Designer Trish Summerville & Co-Producer/VFX Producer, Peter Mavromates.
