Cobra Resources has a rare earths project in Australia that looks likely to be of a high enough quality and cheap enough to operate to challenge the Chinese stranglehold on the market. What's more, the proposed method of production is in-situ leach, which means no actual earth moving will occur, and the environmental footprint will be correspondingly small. More progress on the ground from Metals One in Finland, as the latest results from its Black Schist nickel project come in. The company's resource base has been considerably enhanced, and it is now moving to complete a preliminary economic assessment by the end of the year.
