Dr. Parry has expertise in Sport and Exercise Science, specifically skill acquisition and performance psychology. His work focuses on the application of theoretical concepts to practitioner-based fields such as sport coaching, PT, OT, and fitness training. He has extensive experience working as a soccer coach and has consulted with coaches, physical education teachers and therapists to enhance their work as movement practitioners. Dr. Parry's main research interest includes the investigation of factors that influence motor skill performance and learning, such as instruction, practice activity design, and the provision of feedback.He has recently published a Motor Skill Behavior Laboratory Manual and currently serves on the editorial board of The United Soccer Coaches Association's Soccer Journal, writing pieces on the application of skill acquisition theory.
