Episode 106: This Holiday Season Intentionally Celebrate Your Spirit

Sonia C. just loves live music and lounge bars. A part of her believes she was a Parisian lounge singer in her past life and has been over the moon with joy this past week. She also was able to see her granddaughter and the unfiltered joy of a child absolutely refills your spirit. When you get out of your head and really be in your heart, you notice right away the body prospering. This week's theme is: Intentional connection with the heart. Highlights: Sonia T. fan girls over Jim Henson. [5:00] It might be time to throw a 'you're so great' party. [7:20] Not many people celebrate you and your greatness when you get older. Create an environment where they do (and vice versa). [10:15] Family time can be very triggering. Celebrate yourself. [13:40] Sonia C. decided to challenge herself and respond peacefully to whatever life throws at her for 7 days. [17:20] Sonia T.'s challenge this week is to not get caught up in overwhelm. [21:15] There's some exciting Black Friday sales happening this week! [24:00] Tool of the week. [27:30] Question of the week. [29:30] Sonia T. is a huge Jim Henson fan and was able to see an exhibit of his in New York. Through all of this, Sonia T. discovered that Sesame Street did a Tiny Desk concert and there are some great affirmation songs in this 15 minute live show! (Link in the show notes). The music is so lively and filled with joy that it's become Sonia T.'s after morning songs that she listens to. We need to make joy and happiness part of our everyday rituals. Sometimes, it doesn't always come naturally to us, so we have to schedule it. As empaths, our energy can get drained so quickly that you must be intentional and conscious on how to rebuild that inner spirit up again. Whether it's sesame street or the joy of a child, we must connect with our heart regularly. Tool of the Week: Throw a 'You're so Great' party and set a 1 week vow to yourself. Episode 105: How to Calm Your Noisy & Impatient Internal Barking Dog

Sonia T.'s week has been non-stop travel. Now that she's back home, she's really trying to get grounded and catch up on some much needed rest. It's tough trying to manage a routine when you're constantly on the go, especially when air travel is involved! Sonia C.'s week has also been a bit wonky and challenging to manage, which leads perfectly into today's topic. This week's theme is: Slow down to speed up! Highlights: It's time to let go of some habits. [2:15] Sonia C. had a financial heart attack to the tune of $25,000 because of a clumsy computer error. [4:10] Sonia C. realized this happened because she was being an impatient nelly! [5:40] Sometimes in order to speed up, you have to slow down. [10:30] What does spiritual discernment mean? [12:15] In order to listen to your intuition, you have to slow down! [18:30] What did Sonia C.'s intuition teach her this week? [18:45] Being positive and being kind to yourself takes a lot of discipline. [24:20] Trust Your Vibes Journal is Sonia C's number one tool! [28:15] Tool of the week. [29:10] Question of the week. [34:50] Whenever Sonia C. is feeling out of order or when things are just not moving smoothly for her, she has to take a step back to really reflect and understand what the universe is trying to say to her. Sometimes, it just makes sense to deload the plate and not carry out your full routine because it's exhausting you. Other times, there might be deeper things at play; like when your ego is getting involved and you're experiencing extreme impatience. Sonia C. accidently booked a location rental for $50,000 on Airbnb, and due to their strict policies, they would only give back a partial refund. Through the grace of God and the angels, she was eventually able to get her full refund back, but those few hours of uncertainty were causing her a lot of distress. Sonia T. is so glad to hear that it worked out for the better, but this is the perfect example of how visioning and manifesting can help you get to your destination, even during times of distress! Tool of the Week: Answer this evening reflection journal prompt: What was the most wonderful thing about today? Continue on Your Journey: Question of the Week: When I put my hand on my heart and belly, I feel nothing. How can I better improve this grounding practice? Episode 104: The Season Is Getting Darker, But You Can Embody Light In Your Spirit

The siblings Sonia T. and Sabrina are running the podcast today without momma bird on. Sabrina's spirit is tired and sleepy! Her little one ended up getting into the 'candy stash' from Halloween and had quite the sugar rush affair without Sabrina's knowledge, which kept her up from 2am to 5am. Seems like today is the perfect kind of day for a nice nap. This week's theme is about: Actively nurture yourself. Highlights: The seasons are changing. [5:15] Sabrina reflects that you should always be looking towards the light even when things are dark. [6:50] Sabrina shares some things that help her stay within the light and keep a positive mindset. [9:25] We all have to nurture ourselves very actively during this time. [14:40] Be aware of your winding down time vs. feeding your spirit time. [22:00] Our nervous systems don't know the difference between the images we're seeing vs. real life. Intense imagery will affect you deeply! [29:35] Sonia T.'s inner child gets very overwhelmed if she's not careful with how she protects that energy. [33:25] Tool of the week. [37:30] Question of the week. [41:50] The weather is getting colder as well as it's getting darker. This is often the perfect time to go through a journey of self-reflection as everyone becomes bundled up in the house. The weather is guiding us to dig inward and become more internal. Sabrina had to go and clean up her yard recently and while she was doing that she had an amazing discovery. Despite so many dead things around her, unable to survive the colder winter months, there were still about 3-4 flowers blooming. It goes to show that there still is quiet blooming no matter what season you're in. Sonia T. also notices it. The colors in the trees are getting darker and more dead, but if you look closely, everything around you is still very much alive and thriving. The seasons are changing and as things are slowing down, it is a great metaphor about the tenacity of the human spirit. Sabrina recognizes that in London everyone is putting up bright lights to reflect the darker months ahead because our spirit will not darken even if our surroundings will. Tool of the Week: Reflect on the things that distract you vs. actually nourishes you. Continue on Your Journey: Question of the Week: How do I protect my energy from my husband's negative vibes? Episode 103: Travel and Spontaneity are Gifts to Your Spirit

Sonia T. is in New York and she's pulling out her curiosity card. She is currently in Brooklyn and wants to explore every small pocket and corner shop there is. New York, there's really no place quite like it! Sonia C. believes one of the best ways to keep your intuition sharp is to break from the same-old, same-old and see the world through a different perspective. This week's theme is about: Trust Your Spirit Highlights: Sabrina and Sonia T. reflect back on what it was like traveling all around the world at such a young age. [6:15] Trust your spirit and trust the universe. [12:45] Now that Sabrina is a mom, she has to be conscious not to project her motherly fear onto her daughter. You need some room for her to stumble, learn, and trust. [13:30] Sonia T. really valued the freedom to trust your spirit. [17:05] Sonia C. witnessed her mother always playing with her spontaneous spirit. [22:10] We all come into this world as an intuitive. [29:30] Sonia C. always believed children should be treated as an equal in the family. [30:00] Tool of the week. [32:35] Question of the week. [36:35] Travel is a great way to get yourself out of a rut or a routine and to really hone in on your intuition. However, it can sound pretty glamorous traveling from one destination to the next all the time. Sonia T. argues that despite the family's extensive travel, they don't live glamorously. Cheap rooms, backpacks, on a budget, etc! Sonia T. is grateful that her mother never taught them to be 'comfortable' and instead to just 'go for it' and figure out the details after! This puts your intuition right where it needs to be. Working in the moment for you based on what is best for you. Sonia C. learned through her mother how important it was to experience it and not just read about it. One of her very first trips was to Romania and the travel bug bit her hard ever since then. She had to pass that experience down to her children. Sonia T. truly believes education through travel is part of their family religion. However, as a child, she was very resistant to it. She wanted to stay home and be with her homely comforts! Tool of the Week: Reconnect with your inner child and find a baby picture of yourself. Continue on Your Journey: Question of the Week: I was told in a reading that I had a master behind me. What does that mean? Episode 102: Rebecca Campbell: Live Your True Intuitive Life

This week the ladies have a special guest on the show, Rebecca Campbell! Rebecca is a transformational writer, speaker and podcaster supporting people to connect with the wisdom within. As a mystic, Rebecca's mission is to weave the sacred back into everyday life. This week's theme is about: Adventures of an intuitive. Highlights: What was it like growing up as an intuitive kid? [1:15] Sonia T. and Sabrina reflect on what it's like growing up in the Sonia C. household. [4:30] Dance and movement has always caught Rebecca's attention. [9:25] Rebecca's father was always a big feeler of emotions. [9:40] What has motherhood taught Rebecca? [16:55] Sabrina is teaching her daughter about boundaries, but as intuitives these things can be so hard. [23:00] People are much more receptive now about being intuitive. [30:30] It is not your job to convince people that their intuition is real. [33:45] Before I answer your question, what does your spirit say? [34:30] What does Rebecca do and how can she help you? [41:25] Rebecca asks about Sonia C.'s deaf mother and how she became intuitive. [45:45] As an intuitive child, Rebecca really internalized a lot of big feelings the family was going through. She could never verbally speak her mind. She had to write her feelings down and it was one of the only ways to really normalize and release those emotions. She'd often write lengthy essays to her mother to express herself. Her mother had also taught her to pray, so when she was feeling these intense emotions and very misunderstood, she often spoke to God to help find guidance. Rebecca grew up with a father that would regularly cry in public. She remembers a time where she performed a dance piece for her father on his birthday and he couldn't help the waterworks. All of Rebecca's friends and even the school nuns knew he was a gentle-hearted and fearless man. It was no secret Rebecca's father was a big feeler and Rebecca feels it also helped cultivate her intuitive spirit. Episode 101: Not Everything Has a Solution and That's Okay

Sonia C. is back in Europe and she took a train to go see her grandchild, but in a moment of exhaustion, she ended up falling asleep, missing her stop, and woke up on a completely unexpected adventure. Sonia C.'s spirit was definitely forcing her to slow down and not be in a rush this week! This week's theme is about: Periods of transition and uncertainty. Highlights: Have you noticed an agitated energy or vibe on the planet lately? [2:45] We have a tendency to want to have a solution during times of tension or uncertainty, but sometimes that's an impossible request. [8:30] What do you do when you're dealing with an unconsciously racist person? [14:05] The spirit is always looking for what is beautiful and what is working. [19:40] What's the most beautiful thing in front of you? Look for it. [24:05] Sonia C. has got some exciting news! [28:15] Tool of the week. [25:35] Question of the week. [33:55] Sonia C. has been getting major vibes lately that the planet is in high agitation. There's just a lot of unsettled undertones and movements happening that she can't quite pinpoint to a specific outcome, but she knows it's there. Sonia T. understands completely. She feels lucky that more and more people are waking up their unconscious mind and are more open to feeling these invisible vibrations, but unfortunately, there's still a lot of people who are not conscious of them. Sonia T. understands that when she is feeling undertones of tension in the world, she can almost misdirect the root cause to something like a weird interaction with the haircut guy, or the security guard, or the person at the grocery store, for throwing her vibes off. But through a deeper awareness practice and recognizing the signs over the years, she realizes that this certain tension that is being carried is actually much bigger than that and it's not always related to the day-to-day. Sometimes the universe is just in a transitional process. Tool of the Week: Don't get sucked down the rabbit hole of negativity. Continue on Your Journey: Question of the Week: It feels like my prayers are answered from my guides, but then digging deeper I realize it's not the case. How can I stop feeling disappointed by the outcome or blessings? I'm starting to not trust my guides and instincts. Episode 100: How to Simmer Down Your Negative Inner Voice

Sonia C. had a bit of a hiccup at the airport, but she was so tired that her inner barking dog was too subdued to freak out. In this situation, it took Sonia C. 90 minutes to deplane and nearly 2 hours in traffic to finally go home. Instead of getting anxious, frustrated, or disappointed, she just accepted her fate. You might have a habit of doing X whenever Y goes wrong, but is that your choice or is that just your irrational barking dog taking over? Sonica C. decided to consciously choose her reaction this time and what a difference did it make. This week's theme is about: Reprogram your barking dog reactions. Highlights: You don't have to be a one-size-fits-all reaction to unexpected situations. [5:20] What do you do if you're too hard on yourself? [9:25] Push yourself out of your old self and relive a new self. [14:45] Sonia C. got a 'closested' intuitive that was almost ashamed to be getting a reading. [24:45] If you deny a part of yourself, you're also blocking people off from true connection to the real you. [28:00] You never really know what someone else is going through. [32:30] Tool of the week. [32:55] Question of the week. [38:35] If you're known to overreact or even get bored in certain situations, try to break the pattern and practice mindfulness during these tough situations. Give other people the space they need to perhaps freak out or take control. It's time to do something different and see what happens to the energy in the room when you do. Sonia T. gets really critical of herself when she isn't the most structured or organized person out there. She realizes she can either beat herself up or this can be a place for growth. Creativity is very messy. Sometimes, you simply can't be your most organized self when rooted in this process. Sonia C. notices that Sonia T. can be too hard on herself during the creative 'unplanned' process, but things being unplanned in itself is part of the creative process! You almost can't have one without the other. Instead of punishing yourself, ask questions on how you can work with yourself. Maybe you just need to set a 15 minute 'get organized' timer and then call it a day. Take action on something where it A) doesn't derail your day and B) helps you move to a more compassionate place. Tool of the Week: Never assume you know someone. Discover them first. Continue on Your Journey: Question of the Week: I keep having a recurring dream. How do I get over this dream? Episode 99: How to Fill Your Empty Spiritual Cup

Sonia C. is enjoying the beautiful weather in Mexico and taking some much needed time for introspection and solitude. She was able to disconnect and just watch the sunset on the beach. What a beautiful thing nature can offer us to restore our soul. This week Sonia T. has been the cheerleader for her partner and, unfortunately, her spirit is feeling a bit pooped right now. This week's theme is about: Practice energetic boundaries. Highlights: Empaths love being the cheerleader to others. [2:55] Sonia T. talks about collective effervescence. [3:45] It's okay to set energetic boundaries. [10:00] When should you listen to your barking dog? [12:20] Your barking dog will distract you and take you away from being present. [21:40] Sonia C. remembers her mother's spirit and effervescence. [22:45] Tool of the week. [26:35] Self-reflection exercise: What does Sonia T. love about herself? [28:35] Question of the week. [39:40] There are times where you need to show up and support your loved ones, but it's also important to remember that your soul needs some restoration time or else it won't have any love left to give. Of course, you want to answer the call when your friend is in crisis, but you also need to take that same level of self-care for yourself because if not, especially for Sonia T., her compassion begins to shrink. Sonia T. read an amazing article about collective effervescence, which is where a community or group of people may come together and elevate the energy in the room to the point where everyone is communicating the same thought and participating in the same flow state. Sonia T. likes this word because it's just another way to raise your vibes. However, just like how collective effervescence is contagious to the collective group, negativity can just as easily affect you, especially for empaths. Tool of the Week: Be Extra! Appreciate yourself and be vocal about what you appreciate in others. Continue on Your Journey: Question of the Week: How do I know which guide I'm talking to? I seem to have a lot! Episode 98: The Fear of Disappointment Is Paralyzing You

Sonia T. just got back from a very muddy Burning Man. At Burning Man, there's a saying, you don't get the burn you want, you get the burn you need, and that's exactly the experience Sonia T. got. She had a great time in the end and it was nothing like what the news said it was. It was very apparent that early on in Sonia T's trip, she had to let go of control and all of her expectations. This week's theme is about: Let Go of Control Highlights: What was the hardest thing about burning man? [2:05] What was the greatest gift Sonia T. got at Burning Man? [4:35] Sonia T. explains why she's so happy she went to Burning Man despite the mud. [5:55] Most people get an intuition download and then ignore it. [8:50] Do not let your logical brain dictate all of your decisions. [9:10] Got a poopy situation? Take the time to really play in the rain. [10:45] Don't turn your back on your purpose just because of fear. [17:20] It's easy to have someone else make the choice for you, but it won't make you fulfilled or happy. [20:30] Sonia C. and Sabrina have a new course out! [27:15] Tool of the week. [30:55] Question of the week. [33:50] The hardest thing about experiencing Burning Man this year was the rain and the mud. It made Sonia T. wonder if they were going to return the RV on time because things were really stuck. It also forced Sonia T. to slow down her own horses to be okay with the unknown. There was a period where Sonia T. was disappointed that she didn't get to see more art, but at the same time, she turned this into a positive and was able to forge a new sense of adventure and purpose for the trip. Just because something is not what you hoped for, that doesn't mean the entire experience has to be ruined. Make lemons out of lemonade! Sonia C. believes a lot of people simply do not listen to their intuition or even take risks into the unknown because they're just so afraid of being disappointed. If you can let go of the ego and be more into your heart, a lot of negatives end up looking pretty positive in your life! Tool of the Week: Let go of control and take a risk! Episode 97: How to Navigate Unexpected Plans as an Intuitive

Sonia T. is on her way to Burning Man! However, logistics have not gone to plan and Sonia T. had to have a good cry over it. Sometimes, no matter how much you plan and organize, things just do not go your way. Sabrina is guessing this could be a good lesson because isn't Burning Man all about going with the flow? Sonia T. agrees. Deep down, it's all about letting go of control. This week's theme is about: Taking the good with the bad. Highlights: Sonia T. won't be getting her outfits for Burning Man. It sounds silly, but it really put a cloud over her. [3:30] Do you have friends showing up in your life who just don't show up for you? [6:50] Whenever Sonia C. gets a bit of snark from Sabrina, her favorite line to use is, "I'm spring, stormy!" [10:25] One of the downsides to being intuitive is that you do unintentionally test boundaries. [17:25] When Sabrina is oversaturated, she feels anxious, and that anxiousness makes her want to take care of others instead of herself. [22:05] When you don't commit to a decision, it can stagnate the whole life path. [28:30] Sonia C. and Sabrina have a new course coming out about intuition! [32:40] Sonia T. also has a free workshop coming up in September. Links in the notes. [36:25] Tool of the week. [30:30] Question of the week. [38:05] Sonia T. had carefully packed some critical items that she would be needing at Burning Man and she realized when she got to her pickup point that it would not arrive on Monday, which meant that all the things she packed she will not be able to use. She had a mini meltdown and, upon reflection, doesn't know why she got so attached to these objects. Everything is replaceable in the end. Recently, Sonia C. suggested a really bad idea to Sabrina. Not everything has to land, but Sonia C. realizes she has to think out loud. Sabrina is used to this dynamic. They'll be chit-chatting and brainstorming away and her mother will come out of left field about an idea. However, the same lesson still remains, you need a little bit of the bad to appreciate the good, and not all ideas or plans are going to be good. Tool of the Week: Get grounded, be aware, and lean into the things you love. Question of the Week: I'm losing focus on a new hobby. Is this my spirit and intuition to tell me to move on?
