Episode 85: Identifying Communication Breakdowns and How to Fix Them
As we move towards the school year, one skill that may be rusty is your communication skills. Effectively communicating with your team is essential for working collaboratively and being effective as a leader. In this episode I share some strategies I learned from Michael Hyatt's Podcast: Lead to Win on communication breakdowns.
Most communication breakdowns come as a result of vague or clear communication or a lack of communication. I share examples of how this commonly happens within the classroom as well as what action steps we can take to avoid or prevent these communication breakdowns.
Apply the growth mindset to your communication skills: I am not a good communicator, yet. I am not good at staff training, yet. View each day as an opportunity to practice and improve on these skills!
