Healing the City
The Village Church Community
So often, we find ourselves sitting next to people in church—people with fascinating stories and incredible expertise—and yet we miss the chance to truly know them. What if we slowed down and took the time to hear how each of us spends our days, how we wrestle with life, and how God is working in our stories?Join us as we journey into the lives of everyday folks from The Village Church here in Tucson, Arizona. These are people just like you, who are willing to open up and share their lives. Through honest conversations, we’ll tackle big ideas and practical ways to engage our communities, helping one another see what it looks like to live out our faith in tangible ways. We’ll explore topics like race, disability, advocacy, and faith, inviting guests to share their unique perspectives and skills. Together, we’ll look for ways to use what we’ve been given to connect, serve, and ultimately bring healing to our city.

Spiritual Formation: The Gospel Part One
Send us Fan MailWatch The Table of Decision on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/273014481“At almost every moment of our lives, a silent discussion is being held in our hearts and minds. This unheard narrative, constantly running in the background, influences our moment to moment decisions and, ultimately, the course of our lives. It’s the foundation for how we see ourselves in the world and a determinant of how we navigate our lives. It informs our most important decisions, influences our interactions, and births emotions. It is the root of our bad habits, the seed for our worst decisions, and the trap that chains us to the past. It can propel us towards change, help us grow, and be a powerful force for healing our deepest wounds. Though this conversation is almost always coursing, we rarely engage our voice in the exchange. Worse still, most of us aren’t even listening. We’re simply responding to the unheard voices, unaware of what lies behind our emotions, decisions, and knee-jerk responses. One of the most powerful skills we can learn to influence the course of our lives and grow closer to Christ is how to tune into this conversation and become an active speaker in the dialogue. But first we have to know what to listen for.” – Eric Cepin.Support the show“Healing the City” is a weekly podcast about what it looks like to build healthier communities.
