Aye Dios mio! Netflix Book Club episode 114 es un pelicula de Netflix, and it's called The Wrath of God! We picked this movie before realizing it was in Spanish, but then we said - what are we, idiot Americans? WE CAN HANDLE SUBTITLES (except Mike - listen to find out). @dennisrooney7 sat down with @_miketoohey and chopped it up over this 2022 thriller. It's based off a book that neither of us have read but that doesn't stop us from picking apart the storyline while having a few laughs. It's a Netflix original documentary about a man and his dream of digging up some coke in Puerto Rico and flying it back to the States to get rid of and save his family finances. What could go wrong? Sweet Christ on a cracker, this is a white trash fever dream. Ladies and gentlemen Netflix Book Club number 109 is Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman! Contrary to popular belief this is not a disco documentary. If the name sounds familiar it's because Aileen Wuornos was a real woman who committed several murders before being immortalized by Charlize Theron in Monster (I hear it's not bad). But did we watch Monster? No, we watched this almost made for tv movie that makes some very interesting choices in the retelling of Wuornos' sordid history. Anyway - WORTH A LISTEN. @dennisrooney7 and @_miketoohey snag a homerun of a guest with @christopherbarnes, the rising Tik Tok sensation and all around Big - Timer. Man some people really have a lot of time on their hands. Netflix Book Club episode 108 is Hold Your Breath: The Ice Dive! It's a quick documentary (40 minutes!!) about the Finnish woman who shattered the ice diving distance record in one breath, with just a swimsuit on, and I forget maybe some other stipulations. But how does @_miketoohey and @dennisrooney7 feel about it?? Gonna have to listen to find out. And ya know what. We just might have some laughs along the way. Ever wanna take a chill relaxing weekend away with your closest friends but too worried people are gonna watch you in the shower and stuff? Netflix Book Club episode 107 is The Rental! Directed by Dave Franco (the good one if you ask me) and starring some people ya know and some people ya don't, The Rental is a tight 90 minute thriller horror what-the-hell-is-going-on of a movie, but of course @dennisrooney7 and @_miketoohey can't seem to agree on it. Listen to your favorite two knuckleheads wax comedic on this installment to the horror genre.
