Jesus calls Matthew to be His disciple and rebukes the misguided Pharisees. Every Catholic Man can grow in happiness by seeking the Gift of Counsel from the Holy Spirit so he can receive and proclaim Christ’s Truth and Mercy and by building the Virtue of Diligence so he can always strive for continual conversion in his life. 

Jesus reveals that He is the long-awaited Bridegroom and confirms the need for fasting. Every Catholic man can grow in happiness by building the Virtue of Temperance so he can conquer gluttony through fasting and by growing in the Virtue of Piety so he can frequently walk The Stations of the Cross. 

Jesus shocks the Apostles by revealing that they must be willing to follow Him in Crucifixion. Every Catholic man can grow in happiness by building the Virtue of Magnanimity so he can commit to the greatness of the Cross of Christ and by growing in the Virtue of Prayer so he can joyfully bear his own Cross. 

Jesus courageously touches and instantly heals a leper, forgiving him and restoring him to full social and religious life. Every Catholic man can grow in happiness by continually seeking the Gifts of the Holy Spirit so he can grow in heroic virtue and by seeking the Gift of Knowledge so he can know when and how to bring the sick and dying to the Sacrament of Anointing. 

Jesus miraculously heals Simon Peter's mother-in-law and many others, casting out demons and healing all illnesses and broadens His evangelization campaign in Galilee. Every Catholic man can grow in happiness by building the Virtue of Prayer so he can build a daily discipline of prayer and by growing in the Virtue of Faith so he can always ask Jesus to heal the ill and injured.
