Another outbreak of bird flu on a commercial turkey farm
Another outbreak of avian influenza, or bird flu, on a commercial turkey farm has been confirmed by the Department of Agriculture. The latest cases of the highly pathogenic H5N1 strain of the virus were detected in the flock on the farm near Kells, Co Meath. Two-thirds of people would avoid Dublin City Centre for fear of crime, according to a new survey from Dublin Inquirer and Amárach. The survey found that 12 per cent of people were the victims of theft in Dublin in the past 12 months, while 9 per cent said that they had been threatened in a public place.
