Pastor Aleah Pursley concludes our two-part journey through Hosea, focusing on God’s fierce and faithful love. Despite Israel’s repeated unfaithfulness, Hosea 11 reveals a God whose compassion overpowers His anger—a Father who bends down to feed, lift, and heal His people. We’re reminded that God’s love is not conditional, but His covenant calls for faithfulness, repentance, and restoration. In Jesus, the ultimate Bridegroom, we see God fulfilling both sides of the covenant, inviting us into a love that transforms and redeems.

Pastor Aleah Pursley shares from the book of Hosea as a part of the lectionary. In this text, we see that Israel's unfaithfulness can't be outweighed by God’s relentless love for His people. God's true nature continues to pursue, redeem, and restore. Aleah reminds us that even when we turn away, God’s heart is always to bring us back.

Teaching from Micah 6 and Isaiah 61, he reminds us that true justice is both spiritual and practical—rooted in God’s love, carried out with compassion, and expressed through everyday obedience. In a world of deep brokenness, we are called to help rebuild what’s been ruined, walking humbly while seeking to set things right. Jesus fills us with His Spirit to redeem, restore, and renew our cities—starting with us.
