From our series “Acts.” We are taking a deep dive into chapters 23 through 25 to see how Paul responds when faced with death threats, plots, and an unfair trial. Paul is now in Caesarea and is trialed before Governor Felix. Despite the lack of evidence presented by his accusers and the complete failure of the justice system, we see Paul maintaining a faithful witness to Jesus. The encouragement for us today is to follow Paul’s example when faced with false accusations and remember that we can only do that if we are deeply rooted in God’s unfailing love.

From our series “Acts.” In chapter 19, the kingdom of God comes in direct conflict with the kingdom of darkness. This is a power encounter we should pay attention to. As we watch this story unfold, we see how God is the Master of repurposing evil for good. He then graciously invites his children to repent of our sin and renounce our agreements with darkness. As we do so, we get to walk in the power and light of heaven on earth together as family.

From our series “Acts.” At the beginning of chapter 19, Luke (the author of Acts) wants us to remember the identity of the main character of the story. It’s not Paul or Peter or any of the other Apostles. The main character is the Person of the Holy Spirit. And that same Person is with us today, ready to fill us with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and animated the first Christians to turn the world upside down with the love of God. The only question we need to honestly answer is, are we ready and willing to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

In our current epidemic of loneliness and isolation, Acts 18 lights the way for the church to become the community of longing and intimacy the world is desperately longing for.

Justin has hosted interviews and dialogues with many of the world’s leading intellectuals, both skeptical and believing alike. In this talk, Justin outlines how the conversations around skepticism, belief, and faith have developed over the past two decades. After the talk, Evan Wickham interviews Justin with a mix of audience questions.
