We spoke with two Lieutenants from the Gainesville Police.  Lt. Marc Plourde and Lt. Charlie Ward proposed a leadership development program for the Gainesville, FL Police Department.  The program was adopted by the Chief and Command staff and is now running its fifth annual session.  The GPD Leadership Academy runs once a month, for a year and accepts 15-20 members each iteration.  We chatted about the process, the approach, the required readings, the facilitators, and the discussion topics for this innovative program.  The topics of leadership and development were explored and the change in mindset by course attendees.  Hey there!
