#6 - Exploring Consciousness with Neuroscientist Sidath Rankaduwa (Part 1)

Send a textEditor's Note: The thoughts and opinions of the host and guests are their own. Discussion of the topics on this podcast is not a substitute for medical advice. Today we are joined by PhD candidate and researcher Sidath Rankaduwa as we explore the concept of consciousness and how psychedelics are playing a role in facilitating his research. Sid is studying at Western University in London Ontario at the Brain and Mind Institute under the tutelage of Dr. Adrian Owen. Listen as we discuss some of the ways that the brain inputs information from the world around us, how that informs our perception of reality and how maybe, just maybe, we can figure our what consciousness is with the help of psychedelic medicine. Keeping in past themes, this conversation was just too good to cap at 1 hour so this will be part 1 of 2. Part 2 will be scheduled to release in a fortnight.
