In 2009, a man using the alias "Peter Bergmann" arrived in Sligo, Ireland, to pull off the ultimate disappearing act. Despite battling terminal cancer, he spent his final days dodging CCTV, discarding his belongings, and cutting every label from his clothes before being found dead on a beach. In this new episode, Crawlspace Media's Tim Pilleri and Lance Reenstierna discuss the recent discovery of missing man Peter Degan from a pond in Shirley, Massachusetts. He was found dismembered and his death is being investigated as a homicide. Peter Degan began serving a prison sentence in February of 2019 at a medium security prison in Shirley, Massachusetts. Mr. Degan was released on February 6th, 2026 and was living in a pre release center in Rockland, MA. The last time he was seen alive was in Rockland on February 27th, 2026 and he was found in Phoenix Pond in Shirley, Massachusetts on March 4th, 2026.
