Welcome to More Christ, where we seek to bring some of the world's most interesting and insightful guests to discuss life's central and abiding questions.  In this thirty first episode in a series of discussions, I'm joined by Fr Michael Plekon. Fr Michael is an American priest, professor, author, sociologist and theologian. He has published more than a dozen books, as well as hundreds of journal papers, book chapters and reviews on faith and holiness.   His works include religious social history, social theory and its connections with theology, the works of Søren Kierkegaard, contemporary Eastern Orthodox theology and theologians of the Russian emigration and saints.  More recently, his research and publications explore persons of faith, seeking identity and God in spiritual journeys. He is also writing about persons of faith struggling for social justice and for ways of rediscovering holiness in ordinary life. He is especially interested in the encounter with God in the everyday.

Henry Patiño is an evangelical pastor, author, and a Judeo-Christian apologist. He has been involved in the defence of the unborn since 1979. He was involved in starting three Crisis Pregnancy Centres and a home for unwed mothers. Today, we speak about his series, Machine or Man which also come from the heart of a pastor as well as the mind of a rare genius.   Machine or Man is the first in an apologetics series by Rev. Henry Patino that sets out to address the increasingly rapid moving of global cultures and our education systems away from our Lord and toward a completely humanistic viewpoint. Murphy.  Robert P. Murphy is a Senior Fellow with the Mises Institute. He is the author of many books. His latest is Contra Krugman: Smashing the Errors of America's Most Famous Keynesian. His other works include Chaos Theory, Lessons for the Young Economist, and Choice: Cooperation, Enterprise, and Human Action (Independent Institute, 2015) which is a modern distillation of the essentials of Mises's thought for the layperson.   Murphy was formerly co-host, with Tom Woods, of the popular podcast Contra Krugman, a weekly refutation of Paul Krugman's New York Times column. He is now host of The Bob Murphy Show.

Calvin recently appeared on Good Morning Britain, triggering Piers Morgan, and is a campaign champion to defund The BBC.

In this twenty fourth episode in a series of discussions, I'm joined by the incomparable Nancy Pearcey. Nancy is the author of Love Thy Body: Answering Hard Questions about Life and Sexuality. Her earlier books include The Soul of Science, Saving Leonardo, Finding Truth, and two ECPA Gold Medallion Award Winners: How Now Shall We Live (co-authored with Harold Fickett and Chuck Colson) and Total Truth. Her books have been translated into eight languages. She is professor and scholar in residence at Houston Baptist University. A former agnostic, Prof. Pearcey has spoken at universities such as Princeton, Stanford, USC, and Dartmouth. She was highlighted as one of the five top women apologists by Christianity Today and was hailed in The Economist as "America's pre-eminent evangelical Protestant female intellectual."

He lives in Idaho, USA with his wife, Amy, and his five children.   Scott is the author of Family Politics: The Idea of Marriage in Modern Political Thought (2011) and The Recovery of Family Life: Exposing the Limits of Modern Ideologies (2020).
