iFanboy - Comic Books
iFanboy
The iFanboy.com Comic Book Podcast is a weekly talk show all about the best new current comic book releases. Lifelong friends, Conor Kilpatrick and Josh Flanagan talk about what they loved and (sometimes) hated in the current weekly books, from publishers like Marvel, DC, Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, BOOM! Studios, IDW, Aftershock, Valiant, and more. The aim is to have a fun time, some laughs, but to also really understand what makes comic books work and what doesn’t, and trying to understand the craft of this great, often under appreciated art form. Sometimes they agree, and sometimes… they don’t. With decades of experience talking about comics, interacting with comic book professionals, this is all about the love of an art form. If the names Brian Michael Bendis, Amanda Conner, Geoff Johns, Gene Luen Yang, Donny Cates, Jason Aaron, Kelly Thompson, David Marquez, Kelly Sue de Connick, Kieron Gillen, Charles Soule, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Scott Snyder, Tom King, Mitch Gerads, Esad Ribic, Rick Remender, Nick Spencer, John Ridley, Skottie Young, Chip Zdarsky, Jöelle Jones, David F. Walker, Grant Morrison, and Darwyn Cooke get you excited, then this is the place for you. This podcast is so good, you don’t even need to read comic books or graphic novels to enjoy it, but it’s a lot better if you do.

iFanboy.com Pick of the Week #259 - Amazing Spider-Man #647
November 07, 2010 - It's the fifth anniversary of the iFanboy Pick of the Week Podcast! On this extra long anniversary episode (recorded live over USTREAM) Josh Flanagan, Conor Kilpatrick, and Ron Richards talk about the week in comics, tell some stories from the past five years, and at least one of the guys throws his headset down in disgust! No Lego X-Wings were harmed in the recording of this episode.
AUDIO NOTE: We recorded this episode live on USTREAM and so we used a slightly different audio set up than normal. As a result, there were some problems with Josh's audio. We fixed the most glaring issues with Josh's mic after the first five minutes or so, but up until that point the audio quality is not what you would normally expect from our show. There are also a few random audio glitches here and there throughout the show (as a result of the afroementioned problems with Josh's mic) that we couldn't do anyting about. We apologize. Booksplode #6 - Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E.
October 28, 2010 - Josh Flanagan, Jim Mroczkowski, and Ryan Haupt gather to officially discuss Warren Ellis and Stuart Immonen's short lived, but brilliant series, Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E. With a few years between the release of the material, the discussion plumbs the absolute depths of what the series has to offer, from wacky fun, an actual if not hidden reverence for Marvel Comics, and some of the best artwork to ever be captured on a comic book page. It was a complete package from cover to recap to letter page. It was not long for the world of publishing, with only 12 issues released, and the vaguest tease of future stories, we got what we got, and that was something special that you weren't going to see anywhere else.
