Survive the Jive
Survive the Jive podcast is about history and ancient religions and folklore. Hosted by historian Thomas Rowsell who is also a documentary film maker, this podcast focuses mainly on Indo-European cultures and most specifically on Germanic/Norse paganism. The podcast takes a holistic approach to programming that informs, educates and improves us. It sometimes covers scientific topics but is mainly concerned with pre-Christian religions of Europe. Sometimes the podcasts are based on videos from the YouTube channel, other times they are exclusive. Guests can include historians, scientists, musicians and religious leaders.

Who is Norse God TYR... A Sky-Father?
The Norse god Týr is sometimes called a battle god of minor significance, while others argue. based on etymology that he was once the chief god of the Germanic peoples - a sky father. However, perhaps neither argument is entirely correct. In this video I am joined by Angriff and Dr Boaz and we will discuss Týr and the Proto-Indo-European sky father in the context of Georges Dumézil's theory that he was in fact a secondary sovereign god whose principle attribute was neither paternal nor related to battle, but judicial matters! This channel depends on your support:Paypal: https://www.paypal.me/survivethejivePatreon: https://www.patreon.com/survivethejiveSubscribestar: https://subscribestar.com/survive-the...Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/SurviveTheJiveGAB - https://gab.com/StJ

The Indo-Europeans: In Search of the Homeland by Alain de Benoist
"The Indo-Europeans, In Search of the Homeland," by Alain de Benoist, republished by Akrtos, is a crash course in over a century of Indo-European studies . I joined Caroline to discuss the issues of Indo-European Studies presented in the book as well as extrapolate upon the information presented by the author with our own insights from our individual studies and perspectives. We look at the origin and migration of the Indo-Europeans, most especially as it pertains to European culture, academics of note who have explored this topic over the ages, socio-political trends which have coloured the field, and why this area of study is so important for us to delve into today.

Big-brained Barbarians! with Dr. Edward Dutton
Cognitive evolution and European history.Modern population genetics shows that enormous genetic replacement occurred in Neolithic Europe which as well as changing the religions in Europe surely had an effect on heritable traits like intelligence and behaviour. I am speaking to Dr Edward Dutton aka The Jolly heretic about what the implications of these genetic shifts are in terms of the cognitive evolution of Europeans - can cognitive archeogenetics help us to understand the massive success of the Indo-European cultures over the Bronze Age compared with their Neolithic predecessors? Were the Indo-Europeans really clever chaps? Watch and find out!

National origin myths and narratives of identity
A talk on the way that national origin myths, whether rooted in prehistory, religion or modern science, inform and consolidate collective identities. I explain why different peoples in medieval times thought their ancestors were Trojans, Hebrews or Scythians. I also explain why I am against, what I call "mushroom nationalism" and that this fake version of history, far from fortifying identity, is ultimately harmful to it. Henry Williamson - British ruralist author
Henry Williamson is one of my favourite authors. He had an unsentimental and pure view of nature which informed his general views on life and enabled him to write some of the most widely celebrated books on animals and the English countryside every written. For several reasons, I feel a personal connection to his work, which I shall explain in this stream.
