On today’s episode John is joined by Amanda Saucier. Amanda found out the hard way that whistleblowers don’t have any real protections under the law. She was arrested in 2016 for wire fraud after blowing the whistle on the largest government contractor fraud in US history. Amanda was sentenced to 6 years in prison. On today’s episode of Felony Friday John is joined by Melisha Johnson. Melisha did over 10 years in prison for wire fraud. She was arrested in 2010 and sentenced to 144 months. On November 18th she was released to home confinement due to the Cares Act. Melisha will be the first to admit that she made a mistake and deserved to be punished, but serving more than tens years in prison far exceeds what should be considered a fair punishment for the crime she committed.
