Steffany and Patrick share their experience after a weekend event where emotions were high, and expectations ran strong. Together they emphasize how resetting was a key for successful outcomes. Completion is an important tool used at the end of each event, but resetting is critical for continued success.

Mindset Matters #63 - Confirmation Bias
Join Patrick and Steffany and listen in as they take on the topic of Confirmation Bias and add a touch of Cognitive Dissonance!
The current state of our world seems marked by a growing divide and escalating polarization.
It often seems as though people are constantly at odds with each other, different groups and individuals occur as "right fighters" or "fact checkers", labels such as "woke" and "un-woke" or far "left" and far "right" are now common.
But is this growing divide as real as it appears, and if it is, why is it?
Are we less willing to change today than in the past? Why is that you ask?
Confirmation bias is the tendency to interpret information in a way that confirms our existing beliefs, rather than objectively evaluating new information. It is a form of bias that can influence our view of an issue, our decision-making, and even our relationships.
This bias is generally unconscious and is often driven by a refusal to consider information that contradicts our beliefs. Cognitive dissonance is another mechanism that can lead to the reinforcement of our views, even in the face of evidence that contradicts them. It refers to the discomfort or tension that arises when we are presented with information that conflicts with our beliefs, values or attitudes.

If you are feeling uncertain about setting goals for the New Year, just think about the arrivals of spring, an arriving train, or the arrival of morning. Life is full of moments that remind us to be patient for whatever goals we hope to achieve. The universe favours evolution, not revolution; therefore, perhaps you can appreciate that these things take time. Nature can also be applied in our personal lives, when we want to achieve something amazing it’s best not try to rush it. Stay grounded in your intention.

TEDM – Patrick Yip – The True Value of Silver and GoldEpisode 157
“It’s money without a country. Gold has that value. Any country in the world, whether you’re in Asia, the Middle East, in North America, Australia, people know what gold is.” – Patrick Yip
Gold and silver have been used as forms of currency for centuries. Gold, in particular, has a long history of being accepted as a global currency. Today, gold is still seen as a safe investment by many people. The value of gold is not tied to any one country. Instead, it is seen as a global currency. This means that gold can be bought and sold anywhere in the world.Gold is also seen as a safe investment. This is because the value of gold tends to go up over time. This makes gold a good option for people who are looking to invest their money.

Mindset Matters #60 - Getting to Know Your Fear
Fear and anxiety often occur together, but the terms are not interchangeable. Even though the emotions commonly overlap, your experience with them differs based on their context. Fear relates to the belief of a known or perceived threat, whereas anxiety follows from an unknown, unexpected, or a threat that is not clear. Fear and anxiety both produce a similar stress response, but many experts believe that there are important differences between the two. These differences can account for how we react to various stressors in our environment. It seems we are living in a time when few are not dealing with fear and anxiety to varying degrees…daily!
In this conversation Patrick and Steffany discuss these two emotions and unpack some tips you can use to regain your sense of calm and control
