In the midst of a catastrophic situation, Sully’s only option was to align with the calm, certain presence of the Spirit within his mind. Going against the advice of Ground Control, Sully followed what he knew to be the only course of action to land the plane.Despite everything aligning in a miraculous way and no lives being lost, the aviation agency began investigating Sully’s decision, and the world turned completely to reflect self-doubt.The ego is a death wish. It is the voice of doubt that will insist on “wrong-doing” and guilt no matter what the circumstances. Our function is to put all of our faith and trust in the miracle, in our innocence, and in our brother. We must get in touch with the guilt; it has to be healed piece by piece, through forgiveness.A dream within a dream, within a dream, helps you forget that you are dreaming. The dream is like a maze, but there is an exit! We are the architects of the dream, and everything in the dream is a symbol. Everyone in the dream is a projection of the unconscious and will respond according to the roles we have assigned them.Spirit, through the symbol of mighty companions, is willing to take the elevator down to the depths of the mind to help bring illusions to the light. Locked away in the basement is unconscious guilt, which persists until faced and forgiven. By forgiving the self-blame we come to realize that we have never truly harmed anyone. As we experience the increasing freedom of forgiveness we help others remember they too are dreaming. As the players of the dark dream awaken to the happy dream, they nod in silent recognition. It was just a dream; it seemed so real. We are waking up and going home! The gates that once seemed closed now effortlessly open. We finally see the face of our true Innocence and reunite with Love. And yet, even the happy dream is still a dream. The main character really believes that he is a man inside a real world. He has forgotten that it is all a computer simulation; he is playing characters that he himself designed. Through multiple lives he comes to learn to see the patterns that are holding him back. Specialness is the key defense; Spirit must “get him away from her.” She is like a drug, as are his family and friends. In order to cover up his drug of choice he hides himself in addictions, a rebel attitude, and his work. Finally he learns the difference between what is true and what is false. His world begins to unravel and the truth is revealed. A society of men and women, who are deceived from birth, need to discover their true identity in this sci-fi action film. The main characters are joined in a relationship of purpose, in which they have to follow their prompts and become highly intuitive and determined to overcome the ego’s attempts at stopping them from exposing the darkness. It shows the ego’s temptation to go off and build a safe haven, and the Spirit’s call to extend love to everyone by going deep into the mind and flipping the master switch that dismantles the ego’s illusion entirely, allowing the light to shine through and free everyone. This is a great movie for getting at the fear of intimacy. It exposes the ego's desire for privacy, the belief in need for privacy versus transparency and openness. There's a great fear of true joining, true intimacy, true sharing and transparency. The fear of the ego is that something in the world will be misused in a destructive way. Is what's being presented in form good or evil, safe or not safe? But this is form versus content. There's no solution in trying to find the right form, the right balance between autonomy and personal freedom, the good of the individual versus what's for the good of society. Both the individual and society are illusions.
