Platon has photographed world leaders such as Barack Obama,Vladimir Putin, Bill Clinton, and Hugo Chavez to name a few. Beyond photographing world leaders Platon has used his camera to document sexual violence survivors in the Congo, US Civil Rights Activists, as well as the unjust US Immigration laws and the families torn apart by them. Platon is someone who has photographed the biggest celebrities, athletes, and musicians in the world but has also spent much of his career documenting important humanitarian issues around the world so I was excited to get a chance to speak with him about his photographic journey and approach to photography.
