#0092 – A Special Veteran's Day Episode with Lt. Col Scott Mann

This is a very special show. As you know, November 11th is Veteran’s Day. This is the day where we honor the military veterans who served in our Armed Forces. This Veteran’s Day is different. This is the first Veteran’s Day since the withdrawal of our forces in Afghanistan. Many Afghanistan veterans are struggling right now. They're struggling to find some meaning to the sacrifices they made and the tragedies they experienced in America’s longest war. My guest today is here to help. Lt. Col Scott Mann is an Afghanistan war veteran. He is a former Green Beret and the co-founder of Task Force Pineapple. You’ve probably heard of them. They’re a group of citizens working independently of the government to help Afghan special operators and their families since the withdrawal. Scott is also a writer and producer. He wrote and produced a film called “Last Out — Elegy of a Green Beret” that tells the story of the Afghan war through the voice of the warriors and military family members who lived through it. The film is available, for free, starting on Veterans Day at lastoutfilm.com. All proceeds donated to the film go to help overcome veteran trauma caused by the Afghan collapse. So it’s my honor and privilege to have Scott Mann as my guest on the show today.Last Out Film_____Purchase my latest bestselling leadership book now All in the Same Boat - Lead Your Organization Like a Nuclear SubmarinerVisit our sponsor Bottom Gun Coffee Company use the discount code "DEEP"Become a leader worth following today with these powerful resources:Purchase my bestselling leadership book "I Have the Watch: Becoming a Leader Worth Following" use the discount code "DEEP"Subscribe to my leadership newsletterFollow Jon S Rennie on TwitterFollow Jon S Rennie on InstagramFollow Jon S Rennie on YouTubeFollow Jon S Rennie on SubstackThe Experience of Leadership book Learn more about your ad choices.
