The Left’s hate for Elon Musk seems to be increasing rapidly every day. In congress, certain Democrat politicians question Musk’s intentions since he is an immigrant. By normal leftist standards, that would make one “xenophobic” and “nativist” to think this way, but that logic doesn’t apply to Musk argues Victor Davis Hanson in this episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.”“ We had a congresswoman from Ohio, I think her name was Marcy Kaptur, she recently said that she wasn’t sure where Elon Musk’s loyalties lay because he’d only been a citizen for 22 years. … Remember, the Left says that people who are here illegally, and not citizens, should gain all of the protections and rights of citizens. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force General C.Q. Brown, was fired from his post last month, along with several other high ranking military officials.Many of the Left rushed to say that President Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth were “politicizing” the Pentagon. However, “This is not the politicalization of the Pentagon. It's the depoliticalization”, argues Victor Davis Hanson on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.”“ They said, ‘This is reckless, it hurts morale, and it will depress recruitment.’ Let's analyze that just for a second. Recruitment reached near-record levels after the election of Donald Trump. It's on the way up. It was depressed prior to that. Why would it be depressed? If you go through the Pentagon data, it's very hard to decipher.“ More importantly, Leon Panetta signed this letter. He was one, also, of the 51 intelligence authorities that said, right on the eve of the election and on a few days before the 2020 debate, that Hunter [Biden's] laptop, which was in the hands of the FBI and authenticated, had all the hallmarks of a Russian information, which meant disinformation, campaign.“ Bottom line: We don't need any more letters from so-called experts. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy strolled into the White House using the same strategy he employed with President Joe Biden, which turned out to be his fatal flaw argues Victor Davis Hanson on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.”“ I think Mr. Zelenskyy, in some ways, is a sympathetic character. He needs American weapons, but he kept arguing and arguing, and interrupting the president of the United States, who kept trying to remind him that without American weapons—and the number is disputed because it includes weaponry, economic assistance, and other types of U.S. aid.“ Without the United States, he would be nowhere. Europe talks a great game. All of Europe together, all 28, 29 nations of the EU, 32 nations of NATO have given less than the United States alone. And they will not come to his aid.“ He was flown in on a U.S. military jet. He met Democratic politicians. He met union workers in a munitions factory and basically said to them, "These jobs are essential to us." Subtext: "You wouldn't want to lose your jobs by voting for Donald Trump, who might cut off aid."
