The Paradox of Overachieving and Fulfillment with Mandy Lehto

Dr. Mandy Lehto is a writer, coach, and corporate trainer. She helps clients find peace, purpose, and more authenticity in life as well as help them display power through quiet confidence and kindness. Before she went full-time as a coach, Mandy worked for an international investment bank in London. Much of her wisdom on finance and coaching hail from obtaining her PhD from Cambridge University and her skills as a corporate image advisor.   Mandy joins me today to share how overachieving helped her find success in life and how it eventually led to stress and unhealthy habits. She discusses the moment she became an overachiever and how she realized it was negatively impacting her health. She explains how society looks at overachieving as a good thing and why it should be viewed as an addiction. Mandy also describes the time when she decided to listen to her body and quit being an overachiever.   "The struggle with overachievers is that a lot of it is about creating a facade to the outside world." - Mandy Lehto       This week on The Virtual Campfire Podcast:       Our Favorite Quotes:       Resources Mentioned:       Connect with Mandy Lehto           Sharing Inspiring Stories Around The Virtual Campfire   Thanks for tuning into today’s episode of The Virtual Campfire with your host, Tony Martignetti - the Inspired Coach. Embracing What Makes You Different with Niiamah Ashong

Niiamah Ashong describes himself as a life coach and Sherpa for the socially conscious and impact-driven leaders. He built a community of trailblazers to help them understand themselves regardless of their similarities or differences with those around them. He cites being alone as his greatest fear, and caused him to always want to fit in no matter what, not wanting to be an outlier. He shares how he coped with the idea of being the “token black guy” and the defense mechanism he used to cover his self-doubt. He discusses the moment he realized he wasn’t alone and when he accepted that it was okay to be different. Niiamah also shares how current events made him more vocal with regards to his opinion and his counterintuitive idea on how to unite everyone in the world.   "The sure-fire way to be different is to be yourself; to be you." - Niiamah Ashong       This week on The Virtual Campfire Podcast:       Our Favorite Quotes:       Resources Mentioned:       Connect with Niiamah Ashong:           Sharing Inspiring Stories Around The Virtual Campfire   Thanks for tuning into today’s episode of The Virtual Campfire with your host, Tony Martignetti - the Inspired Coach.
