This is a bonus reading of the Homeric Hymn to Demeter to accompany today's episode on Persephone and Demeter. This Homeric Hymn tells the story of Hades (Aidoneus) kidnapping Persephone and her mother, Demeter's search for her daughter. It's sometimes attributed to Homer, but comes from a similar time period in any case.
