Season 11’s narrative goes south this week with the elimination of Nina West—especially considering that it was Silky’s less than smooth lip sync that earned her the shantay. (And of course: “Meh.”) While we’re heartbroken, we’re celebrating the pride of season 11 this week with some of our favorite Nina moments. And also questioning the (admittedly fascinating) Silky narrative, the perpetual (and slightly uninspiring) rise of Brooke Lynn Hytes, and the vandalism of Vanjie with this week’s win. RuPaul’s throwing a monster mash this week for this season’s ball challenge. Most of these queens tend to serve more beauty than beast—and we’re not sure how half of them are trick-or-treating in those outfits—so it’s a runway big on ooky, but not quite spooky (besides Scarlet, who is somehow just safe this week). Ariel, like most mermaids, isn’t great on her feet, but was swimming away with that lip sync until that flip of the fin, and Brooke Lynn is, believe it or not, the only mummy on pointe in RuPaul’s Drag Race history.
