Have you ever trusted a plan, only for it to turn out completely different than you imagined? We all face moments when life seems to go completely off the rails, leaving us scrambling for answers. Judges 7:2-7 recounts how God took Gideon’s army from 32,000 to 300, teaching that victory comes not by human strength but by trusting His power. The last week of the year can be a difficult one, often filled with anticipation as we look forward to what the new year will bring. In our rush to move ahead, we can overlook the past year and miss the chance to see how God has been faithfully working in and through our lives. Colossians 3:2 encourages us to “set your sights on the realities of heaven,” reminding us to look beyond the immediate and focus on God’s eternal work in our lives. Instead of rushing into 2025, what if you paused to reflect on 2024—asking where your focus aligned with Jesus’ perspective, how you showed His love, and what you devoted yourself to?
