Ep 208: Wynners and DFS Losers
Jessica Welman returned from her Carribean cruise to a tidal wave of news in the industry, and hops into the iGaming Daily hosting chair to discuss as much of it as possible with SBC Media Manager Charlie Horner.Firstly, the month of February has not been kind to the daily fantasy sports industry, as the hits just kept coming for the likes of PrizePicks, Underdog, and others offering DFS+ content. Arkansas, Florida, and now Massachusetts have reached out to the operators to let them know they believe they are operating illegally in the state. What does this mean for the future of the vertical?Plus, what of Wynn resorts? One of the crown jewels of land-based casinos, but the company has all but washed its hands of the digital division. What happened to the Wynn Digital assets and why did this brand never catch on? Jess and Charlie tackle these two topics and a whole lot more as iGaming Daily, sponsored by Optimove, once again turns its attention to the US industry. Ep 203: DraftKings lawsuit & Betsson's CEO offers 2023 insight
SBC Americas has been back on the litigation beat in recent weeks after a case between a former employer and employee came to light. And this will be the first half of today’s episode of iGaming Daily, sponsored by Optimove, where James Ross takes the helm while SBC Americas' Editor, Jessica Welman, enjoys here much deserved cruise, and is joined by Charlie Horner. Then in the second half we’ll hear from SBC New’s Viktor Kayed who sat down with Betsson’s CEO, Pontus Lindwall, to go through the firm’s latest financial results.
