Ep 2077: Poc Fada, Club Cluxton, Cap'n Murray, Shithouse Sticks - 28/06/21
The All-Ireland championships began this weekend, but there weren't exactly a surfeit of headlines... although 98 shots at goal in one hurling game is certainly newsworthy. We suggest a few rule changes to simplify the game.Stephen Cluxton played for his club on Saturday night, which indicates he might not be involved in Dublin's first game of the Leinster championship next weekend - Ken wonders aloud if this sombre moment might stop the whingeing.Conor Murray has been named the new Lions captain after Alun Wyn Jones' injury on Saturday, but is the tour still in danger of being derailed? Plus there's Lukaku's careless whisper and the staying power of shithousery. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep 2071: Rahm Wins Snakes & Ladders US Open, Ireland Men's 7s Qualify For The Olympics - 21/06/2021
It takes something pretty special to wrestle some attention away from the Euros these days, but the US Open last night was a hilarious snakes & ladders of the world's best players charging to the top of the leaderboard before falling back in increasingly daft and humiliating ways. The final result was a win for Spain's Jon Rahm, and there was drama elsewhere too as Leona Maguire came agonisingly close to a first win on the LPGA tour... and even Murph had an unforgettable incident on the fairways of West Clare. Our Men's 7s team qualified for the Olympics at the weekend, and captain Billy Dardis gave an emotional interview moments after the final whistle which summed up just how big a moment this was for the sport in Ireland. Plus, the Euro news just keeps on coming as Scotland's young tyro Billy Gilmour tests positive for Covid. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
