Cian McLaughlin - Grand Teton National Park - Wyoming

June 8th 2021- A Jackson Wyoming resident, bartender, and local snowboard instructor set out for a solo hike in Grand Teton National Park with limited gear on a moderate 8-mile trail.  Witnesses reported seeing him around mid-afternoon. This is the last time he would be seen. Join us this week as we investigate the disappearance of Cian McLaughlin.  Correction - Our comment about bears in the park was misleading when we said there are Grizzly's and brown bears in Grand Teton National Park.  While Grizzly's are technically brown bears, not all brown bears are Grizzly's.  Generally, brown bears are considered to be those of the species that have access to coastal food resources.  Grizzly's live further inland and typically don't have access to marine-derived food.  New Patreon & YouTube Member Shoutouts: Kate Rossing, Gwendolyn Buchanan, gf301, Jesse Dudas, Ann Burke, Valerie Johnson, Gavin Hardcastle, Deborah Wales.  Want to help the show out and get even more Locations Unknown content!  For as little as $1 a month, you can become a Patron of Locations Unknown and get access to our episodes two days before release, special Patreon only episode, free swag, swag contests, your picture on our supporter wall of fame, our Patreon only Discord Server, and discounts to our Locations Unknown Store!  Become a Patron of the Locations Unknown Podcast by visiting our Patreon page.  This episode is brought to you by Joychiever.  Want to call into the show and leave us a message?  Now you can!  Call 208-391-6913 and leave Locations Unknown a voice message and we may air it on a future message!  View live recordings of the show on our YouTube channel: Locations Unknown - YouTube  Want to advertise on the podcast?  Visit the following link to learn more.  Advertise on Locations Unknown  Learn about other unsolved missing persons cases in America's wilderness at Locations Unknown.  Follow us on Facebook & Instagram.  Also check us out on two new platforms - Pocketnet & Rumble.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/locations-unknown--6183838/support.

Gwen Hasselquist Part 2 - Gig Harbor - Washington

(UPDATE- We experienced some issues with Mike's audio feed on this episode resulting in his volume being lower than normal - we apologize to anyone having a hard time hearing the episode and will have the issue corrected on the next show.)  In Episode 50, we learned about a suspicious death, a husband who remarried within months, who then fled the country.  With very little coverage of the death, and even less information about the events leading up to her death, we submitted FOIA requests to fill in the gaps.  Recently, one of our FOIA requests was completed and a 21-page police report on Gwen's death was sent to us.   Join us this week as we continue to investigate the death of Gwen Hasselquist. A copy of the Police report will be posted on our website after this episode is published.  You can listen to Part 1 of this case here: EP. #50: Gwen Hasselquist - Gig Harbor - Washington (podbean.com)  New Patreon Shoutouts: Mark Van de Bogert  Want to help the show out and get even more Locations Unknown content!  For as little as $1 a month, you can become a Patron of Locations Unknown and get access to special Patreon only episode, free swag, swag contests, your picture on our supporter wall of fame, our Patreon only Discord Server, and discounts to our upcoming Locations Unknown Store!  Become a Patron of the Locations Unknown Podcast by visiting our Patreon page.
